The Space

Our rainbow of a home is painted brightly in eight colors, giving it the ultimate San Francisco feel. You will love coming home each day to our uniquely decorated home, and it is our goal to make sure you love it as much as we do.

Guest Access

As a guest, you will have access to our full kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove, blender, refrigerator/freezer, and panini maker. Our washer and dryer is inside the house, and is available for your use during your stay.

You will have two comfortable bedrooms: the red room and the green room. The red room has a comfortable queen-sized bed and LCD tv, and the green has a full sized bed and acrylic desk. The two rooms are connected by a classic San Francisco fire escape; it's fun to hang out and watch the city go by beneath your feet. Finally, enjoy your evenings on the spectacular rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the city. The rooftop has comfortable furniture for your enjoyment.

Interaction with Guests

The entire space will be yours to enjoy. We will be available to help you with anything you need via phone, email or text message. We want to give you your complete privacy, but we will be there for anything that might help enhance the quality of your stay.

The Neighborhood

Our hip Lower Nob Hill condo is centrally located in downtown San Francisco. From our home, you can walk to Union Square, Chinatown, the MOMA, the Asian Art Museum, Yerba Buena, Grace Cathedral and so much more! Bring your walking shoes because everything is nearby! Our neighborhood offers a vast selection of amazing restaurants, bars, and clubs, so nightlife will be great!

Getting around

You will not need to worry about renting a car here because of the central location. The space and location is an urbanite's dream. The condo is within walking distance to BART, Muni, multiple bus lines, taxis, and the world famous cable cars. My husband and I have never owned a car in San Francisco due to the easy access to public transportation from our house.

  • Megan was extremely helpful, left guidebooks out for us, and even provided her own "Urban Rainbow Guide to San Francisco". The apartment was a short walk to Union Square which had lots of shopping and a stop for both lines of the trolley. If we didn't feel like walking, there was a convenient bus stop right in front of the apartment. The bus system in San Francisco was easy to navigate and we used it to get to the Marina District, Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry Building, and Chinatown... all in about 15 minutes. The noise from the street made it hard to sleep at times but the noise machines Megan provided in both bedrooms were a huge help. The apartment was perfect for four people and we would all definitely stay there again.

  • The Urban Rainbow was just as advertised. It was certainly URBAN with all of San Francisco at your fingertips. The location was just great within easy walking distance of Union Square and beyond. Lots of little cafes and restaurants to sample. The Apartment was very colorful (the photos capture it well). Our group of four was very comfortable in the space. Having a kitchen with all the essentials was much appreciated. We had a small issue with closing the door properly and Megan was there to help out as needed without any delay. There is a brochure prepared by Megan that has an incredible amount of information about the immediate area and more general sights and activities.

  • The Urban Rainbow was just what our family needed to get into the spirit of San Francisco. The city life and the artsy decor put us in the mood to explore the city. Megan's suggestions for restaurants were perfect. We chose the hole-in-the-wall Pakistani restaurant with free Indian chai. Plus, we ate at the Thai place called Osha. Wonderful Tum Yum. We would definitely return. It's central location makes for great excursions. Thanks Megan.

  • Urban Rainbow, was such a great place to stay and Megan was a great host. Even being out of town she was easy to get in touch with and we felt so welcome in her home! I loved the location- And suggestions in the urban rainbow guide were wonderful. Best sushi around the corner and amazing night life. I felt safe and comfortable. Highly recommended!

  • My a partner and I were really fortunate to stay at the Urban Rainbow for our short stay at San Francisco. Megan and Manny are extremely genuine, approachable, and have an infinite amount of tips as to what to do in the city! We would definitely choose to stay here again if we are ever in the city.

The location of the flat worked really well for us too. It was basically in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit; public transportation was readily available (and until really late at night).

  • Megan and Manny were perfect hosts. Unfortunately they were not in the city when we stayed at tha urban rainbow but a friend of them was there to welcome us and gave us a very friendly introduction and Megan talked to me on the phone. We had a very pleasant stay and espacially communicating was always a pleasure - I received answers to my chat messages within minutes! Also the guide is very good. I would totally recommend this apartment, everything you need is there. Greetings to Megan and Manny, looking forward to staying there again!

  • The apartment is very nice and cozy. We had a wonderful stay there. There are some noises, I am a deep sleeper and didn't notice them at all. My uncle is very sensitive to sound while sleeping, so he is a little bit annoyed. Generally, if you are not very picky about sleeping in a very quite environment, this should be a perfect place for your staying in SF.

Teacher at San Francisco's Juvenile Hall
Manny and I are avid travelers, above all else. We have traveled all over the world as a couple and independently. When we are at our home base in San Francisco, Airbnb allows us to travel from our living room, bringing guests from far reaches of the world. Here in San Francisco, I (Megan) am a full-time English teacher in San Francisco's juvenile hall. I also volunteer as a meditation teacher in the SF County Jail on the weekends. Manny, originally from the Andes in Merida, Venezuela, works at the Imaginary Foundation, a company that creates a clothing line that emphasizes artistry, philosophy and science. We have been happily married for four years and love introducing people to our amazing neighborhood and city. We hope to meet you in our living room!
