Great experience. The place was very clean and comfortable. Excellent value. It's not in the nicest neighborhood but it's very central.
Our stay at the Urban Rainbow went way beyond our expectations. Megan and Manny were great hosts... not only were we able to drop our luggage off early while the apartment was still being clean, but Megan left us a bottle of wine and the nicest card detailing all of the great events and activities happing in San Francisco during our stay. Megan and Manny included a lot of little details to make our stay more comfortable, like maps of the area, Ghiradelli chocolates, and noise-machines and ear-plugs to help with the city noise (which really wasn't bad at all!). They also made it a point to check in at the middle of our stay, and even invited us to check out late so that we could see more of the city on our final day. I'll be recommending the Urban Rainbow to anyone I know headed to San Francisco, and will definitely like to stay there again!
Perfect rooftop with the perfect hosts. If you are thinking of going to SF consider the Urban Rainbow as one of your top possibilitues! Megan gave us great suggestions about the city nightlife! We'll be back soon!
Megan, Manny, and Scarlett were so hospitable and thoughtful! They even had a birthday balloon, wine, and card to greet me :) The place was everything as described. They had a detailed guide and even current events for that weekend that my friends I may want to check out. I felt the neighborhood was totally fine. There were some interesting people that would come out at night but safety was never an issue. The noise machines and ear plugs came in handy as I am from the suburbs so I am not accustomed to sleeping with city noise. Manny and Megan were great with communication and even texted to see how our trip was going during our stay. This was my first AirBnB experience and I hope all future ones will be just as great! THANK YOU Megan, Manny, and Scarlett for a great SF stay!!
Wow, what a place! From the first meeting with Manny until we left, it felt like the turn-key solution to a genuine San Francisco experience. Along with the awesome (decor, great nearby restaurants, Shake Down, proximity to grocery stores, Union Square) comes the reality (income inequality, drug and mental health issues, parking). The first night (a Tuesday) we all slept soundly save for a couple sirens early in the night. The second night, however, there were a few groups gathering on the corner which were very vocal and somewhat threatening (not to us specifically, just in general). The noise machines helped a ton though! Other than the one issue that night (which I imagine was fairly random), everything was fantastic. The decor and feel of the Urban Rainbow is outstanding. Comfortable beds, amazing towels, washer/dryer. Would definitely stay there again.
Megan and her husband put together one of the most hospitable Airbnb experiences we have had, and we travel relatively extensively. They have a fully laminated house handbook, replete with up to date restaurant recommendations. Upon learning of my toddler, Megan was so thoughtful to write a note with no fewer than eight recommendations of things to do with our little guy...and they were a blast! The apartment was a cozy fit for three adults and two children under 3.5, but totally doable. The location was very central: walking distance to Union Square and the Moscone Center, short Uber rides away from essentially every other place we wanted to go. An excellent travel experience for us.
We had a great stay at the Urban Rainbow. Manny and Megan were very friendly and considerate hosts. The apartment was clean and well outfitted. There was even a San Francisco guide book on the book shelf, which came in handy since we left ours at home.

Manny and I are avid travelers, above all else. We have traveled all over the world as a couple and independently. When we are at our home base in San Francisco, Airbnb allows us to travel from our living room, bringing guests from far reaches of the world. Here in San Francisco, I (Megan) am a full-time English teacher in San Francisco's juvenile hall. I also volunteer as a meditation teacher in the SF County Jail on the weekends. Manny, originally from the Andes in Merida, Venezuela, works at the Imaginary Foundation, a company that creates a clothing line that emphasizes artistry, philosophy and science. We have been happily married for four years and love introducing people to our amazing neighborhood and city. We hope to meet you in our living room!
