Clean and nicely decorated apartment in one of the nicest neighborhoods of Brooklyn; great location right next to subway station (Bergen street) and lots of cool shops close by (incl. trader joe's supermarket and a cool Dutch bike store (Vanmoof) on Baltic street, 3 blocks up). Lucien was very helpful and flexible when we wanted to check in a couple hours early. He is very prompt in his replies; great communication! Would definitely recommend the apartment and sure stay there again. (Ps. The complementary Aesop samples (there is a shop next door) in the bathroom were great!).
Lucien’s studio is located in the beautiful and safe Brooklyn neighborhood, Boreum Hill. All the necessities are a close walk to the apartment: The subway F line is just at the corner, a selection of nice restaurants, bars and shops surround the apartment on Court St, Smith St as well as Atlantic Ave, almost too many to choose from.
The apartment itself is as seen in the photo, a spacious studio with plenty of light. Bathroom is quite small and the building itself isn’t kept in the best condition, but the studio apartment does the job.
Lucien has always been available and efficient when contacted.
Be sure to visit his arts center, the Invisible Dog, when in the area.
We recently stayed at Lucien's apartment and had an amazing time. The apartment was clean, stylish and cosy, situated in an ideal location of Brooklyn. Great space especially if you want a break from Manhattan, with plenty to do nearby and Manhattan only a short subway ride away. With this being our first airbnb reservation, Lucien made a great host and I would definitely stay at this apartment again when visiting NYC. Lucien thanks for your hospitality!
My parents had a wonderful stay in Lucien's apartment in Boerum Hill. The apartment is cozy and full of light. Artsy prints on the walls are in tune with the style of the neighborhood that is full of restaurants, bars and shops with antique items. I will definitely pick this place again when my parents visit next time.
Merci Lucien, on a passé d'excellents moments
Fantastic place to stay!
Lucien is an excellent host and the apartment was perfect. Extremely clean and very comfortable (and warm). Easy connection into the city and a fantastic area to stay in - lots of shops and restaurants.
He was on hand with any issues we had (my luggage was delayed by 2 days with American Airlines and he kindly offered to have my suitcase delivered to him rather than us hanging around the apartment!)
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.
Thanks again Lucien.
I arrived quite late into NYC and Lucien was very willing to meet me despite the time and freezing weather! The apartment was on the whole as described - some aspects like the back up radiator could have done with a clean! One thing which I wasn't aware of was an intense smell of smoke in the hallway of the building, which as a non smoker was quite off putting. However it was only in the hall so only an issue when coming in and out. Overall a good stay and very convenient for central Brooklyn, lots of lovely places nearby etc. Thanks Lucien!
