Description

The space

Located in the heart of Le Marais and its trendy shops and restaurants, just steps away from the metro (St Sebastien Froissard) in a beautiful and quiet Beaux Arts building recently designated a historical landmark, this gorgeous 1BR/1BA designer apartment (accommodating up to 4 people: 2 in the bedroom, and 2 in the convertible sofa bed located in the living room) enjoys southern exposure and is filled with wonderful natural lighting throughout the day.

The stylish decor, retro-chic with French antiques from the 20's and 60's, combined with modern furnishings, boasts original Versailles parquet floors, exposed beams, a decorative fireplace and is extremely well equipped with all your modern amenity needs including:

Full kitchen (with touch-activated electric stove top)
House phone
Nespresso Machine
High speed internet access (wi-fi)
Plasma TV screen
Cable tv (over 200 channels)
Ipod Dock connector
Washer/dryer
Stereo system
Coffee maker
Blow dryer
Alarm clock
Iron/Ironing Board
Microwave/Grill
Toaster
High quality linens
Goose down feather comforters
Plush sofas with comfy pillows
Tons of closest space and more!

For quick travel and groceries, both the St Sebastien Froissard subway station and Franc Prix supermarket are just down the street! But several subway/bus lines are available throughout the neighborhood, making it super easy to visit other Parisian districts as well :-)

Le Marais itself is one of the most treasured, chic, and culturally admired districts in all of Paris, with a multitude of museums, art galleries, historical landmarks and streets, stylish boutiques, amazing restaurants, wine/grocery shops, parks, cafes and charming farmers markets, this inspiring neighborhood draws a creative crowd and an eclectic bunch of young professionals. Follow the ancient street signs engraved in stone, explore medieval alleyways, push open doors leading to romantic courtyards and add a fairytale dusting of lavish 'hotels particuliers' (private town mansions) with gilded gates and graceful gardens and the Marais is the best of Paris distilled into a strong, seductive and genuine Parisian experience.

Carine's apartment is excellent, very clean, cosy and practical with everything one needs. The shower is tricky for someone tall (I'm 6' 1'') but for just a few days is perfectly fine. The location is superb.

The apartment was comfortable clean and the linens were nice. Great area of Paris and we felt very safe. Close to grocery stores and lots of cafes . The stairs were formidable especially after a long day of walking. Not great if you have heavy luggage but you only have to do that once. Loved our visit.

Carines place was perfect and the location in Paris was very central for everything! Great stay for one or two people and everything you need is right next door, restaurants and supermarket. Awesome place, really enjoyed and extended my stay one extra night! Thanks, Carine

This is a charming apartment which really fulfilled our Paris experience. The apartment is great for 2 or 3 adults and the bathroom ceiling height is quite low (as mentioned) but I'm 5'3" so I didn't mind. I really appreciated the spare and clean design of the apartment with it's eclectic mix of vintage and modern furniture. It's obvious that it was all really thought out. The apartment is on a quiet street in the Marais which is seriously the coolest neighborhood in Paris--just check out the boutique Merci around the corner where people practically line up to go in! Elisa, the manager, was prompt with any questions we had and was quite accomodating with our check in time. The bed was super comfy, as was the couch. All in all, a great experience! Thank you Carine!

Carine User ProfileCarine is a superhost.

My name is Carine and I have been living in New York for 20 years. I bought this lovely apt in Paris as i travel back often and wanted a home "away from home". My husband and i put all of our hearts into making it a lovely, cozy, comfortable place. We travel extensively, and most often use vacation rentals as we're tired of hotels. Years of vacation rental experience (very good and very bad ones ;) allowed us to set up this home for you. We tried to think of every possible detail, in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.... we love this apartment and hope you'll love it too!
