About this listing
Nestled in the trees at the base of Keystone mountain, our Soda Spring Condominium is located minutes away from the Peru Express and Argentine lifts. Equally close is the bunny hill and ski schools for the beginning, or younger skier. Located just west of the Keystone Village, you are only minutes away from ski and boarding schools, ski rental shops, restaurants and everything you need to enjoy your fabulous vacation in the Rockies. Absolutely perfect for that mountain summer getaway to escape the heat too. A short drive from the Keystone Golf course!
We have one of the nicest studios in Summit County. You won't believe the upgrades in our "top-of-the-line" unit. Brand new appliances, granite counter tops, a double vanity, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, dishwasher; everything is first class. This is not a "motel-room" condominium; if you want first class accommodations, this is it! And the condo is larger than 600 Square Feet! You are literally 25 paces to the hot tub and heated outdoor pool (yes - it's open all winter, so you can swim while the snow is falling). It's perfect for a couple or a family of 4 (2 Adults and 2 smaller children) with a queen sized Murphy Bed and a pull-out couch.
We're also fairly close to the Keystone Conference Center, so perfect for those mountain conferences where you'd prefer a step up from the typical conference hotel room.
Bring your laptop - we now have wireless high-speed internet access in the condo.
A short walk up the driveway, and you catch the free resort buses which will drop you at the slopes, literally, 3 short minutes away! You can park your car and leave it, unless you want to drive to Vail, Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Loveland or Copper, all just a short drive. Imagine, staying 5 days and never skiing the same resort twice! And don't forget, these are all world class resorts with some of the best downhill skiing in the world.
Please do not re-program the thermostat - use the temperature up/down buttons if you would like it cooler or warmer. Reprogramming the thermostat will result in negative feedback!!
Please be considerate of guests in the above and side units and keep the noise level to a minimum.
Please do not adjust gas levels going into the fireplace. These levels have been professionally set, and messing with the gas level can be dangerous!!!! Negative feedback will result!!!!
At the end of your stay...please put dirty plates and glasses in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher. Also, please take the sheets off of the beds and put them in a pile on the sofa.
The location of this condo is very nice; beautiful area and grounds, near the pool and hot tub (though the latter was out of service for a part of our stay) and has great hiking nearby. Size is nice for 2 people when you are not spending a lot of time indoors. Kitchen adequate for the many meals we cooked, however, the cookware is questionable. It has been misused and is warped/worn out.
Most of the windows do not open or if they do, will not close. Became quite warm inside without air flow, needed to open the two doors. The blinds are nearly impossible to open/close and since this unit is on the ground level where many people walk by and the unit is quite dark without the sunlight… they need to open/close. The blinds require pulling on strings for great a deal of time, high above your head in an acrobatic way! (need extenders of some sort)
Supplies: The host left candy on the counter for guests. There were soap, lotion, toothpaste and shampoo/conditioner supplies for us as well as dishwasher and clothes washer detergent. Towels were supplied. There was an over abundance of bedding/pillows stacked everywhere in great tower-like piles??? And really nowhere to put this to get them out of the way. There was even more stacked up in the closet off the kitchen. We needed to replenish both toilet paper and paper toweling for our use, though there was a minimal amount in condo when we arrived.
This unit is not what we would call 'newly updated'; though comfortable, it felt quite 'worn out'. This judgement may be due to the VERY dirty and stained carpet that jumps out at you as you walk into the unit. This very much distracts from the other positives of this condo.
Doug sent me an e-mail with detailed instructions regarding check-in/check out process, which was easy to follow. Condo was easy to find. Location is great, condo had everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Walking distance from Keystone resort and multiple trails/walking and bicycling trails. Small convinience store and gas station is few minutes drive or 15 min walk. Condo was clean and well maintained. Thank you for the cozy place to stay and explore the Keystone area.
This was the perfect place to stay for a vacation for two. Everything was just as described in the listing. Doug communicated very well and even recommended some things to do and websites to check out for ideas. Check in went very smoothly and though we did not meet Doug he responded quickly when there was a question upon arrival. It is located in a great condo community and a short walk to the Keystone resort. The place is very well kept and fully furnished. It was a great stay and we will definitely look into it again if we go back to Keystone.
Could not have asked for a better stay during my very first ski trip! The condo is exactly as pictured, cozy and functional, it was the perfect size for my boyfriend and me. The condominiums are located right along the free shuttle route that will take you into the nearby ski village. After 2 days of skiing I’ve never been more thrilled to have a hot tub just 20 steps away from the front door. I would highly recommend staying here if you are traveling alone or with a partner. The units are well maintained, the neighbors are quiet and you are just a quick ride away from the villages and other amenities. We absolutely loved our time here!
