About this listing
Spend your holiday in this charming sunny 4th floor 2-room apartment in the heart of Copenhagen - the vibrant neighborhood Islands Brygge – where you can experience the exceptional waterfront and even take a swim in the harbour.
This is the perfect spot to have your on place for an authentic feeling of Copenhagen’s local community with the harbour front, the harbour bath, cafés and local galleries.
You'll also have some of Copenhagen’s loveliest neighborhoods just few minutes away. Within 10 minutes you can walk to the city center, Tivoli (amusement park), movie theatres, museums and more. The metro is located just 2 minutes away which will bring you to the airport in just 15 minutes or take you to the old charming neighborhood Christianshavn, where you will find cafés and canals filled with sailing ships. Another option within walking distance is the bohemian neighborhood Vesterbro with great vintage shops and a flourishing nightlife. The metro can also bring you to the beach within 10 minutes.
Our bedroom has a double bed (120 cm x 200 cm), desk and a closet, which we will make available for you. In the modern living room you will find a couch, dining table, coffee table, books and a stereo. The place also comes with a double airbed (120 cm x 200 cm), so you can sleep 4 people. We will also provide you with free WI-FI, linen and towels. Since the pictures was taken we have changed the couch and re-arranged the apartment; but only for the better.
There is a separate well-equipped kitchen with washing machine. Bathroom has bath and the usuals but as it is standard here in Copenhagen everything is squeezed into one single quite small room.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Andreas & Henriette
We are sure you all will take care of our home while visiting, but here are some guidelines nonetheless:
Number of guests
We expect that the number of guests corresponds to what we agree on here on the website, so please don't host big dinner parties or the like.
We expect our guests to leave the apartment in a tidy condition, including trash taken down, dishwashing done etc.
The guest must replace broken, or lost interior.
The keys are system-keys that work for all locks in the building so they are expensive to make if lost. So please make sure not to loose them, we will charge $100 to have a replacement key made.
Please respect our neighbors and don’t play loud music after 9pm on weekdays,
and 12am in weekends.
One of us suffer from allergy, so we are a strict non-smoking home - not even with the window open.
We love animals very much, but they are not allowed in the building.
We had a wonderful time in Andreas & Henriette's apartment! It was very clean, good location (about 15 mins walk to the city centre) with a stylish interior! The best bit for us was the helpful guide Andreas left with local tips and ideas for things to do. They also left us a lovely bottle of wine which was very kind. The shower is traditionally Danish and quite small but perfectly fine and lots of hot water. Really nice of the hosts to generously offer tea, coffee and fresh food in their fridge. They were also totally flexible on our check out time and responded very quickly when we emailed them. All in all an excellent experience, thank you! :)
The Apartment was clean and well prepared for us. Great design and very cozy.
Many thanks for the flexibility of Andreas to accomodate us dispite our late arrival and flight delay (3:00am).
Close to the metro station, bike rental just across the road, shops in walking distance.
The apartment was wonderful and we would gladly choose it again.
1. Very easy to arrange and handover with A & H.
2. VERY convenient to all areas in Copenhagen (5 minute walk from metro which connects to just about everywhere, also a 15-20 minute walk to the city center, 2 minute walk from the harbor, takes about 20 minutes with 1 change from Airport - easy breezy.)
3. Clean apartment, very trendy and comfortable. (It has the Copenhagen style shower, not that big of a deal, part of the experience)
4. Great sushi up the street right on the harbor :)
Andreas provides a great welcome pack with great restaurant ideas other than what you find on Trip Advisor.
Andreas is a fabulous host. waited till we landed so we can get the keys before his weekend trip and the place was perfect.
Highly recommended. You could not ask to stay in a better location or in a more spacious and bright apartment. Andreas even provides a guide to the local shops and cafés.
My week-long trip involved spending time at the IT University, to which I could walk in 10 minutes. In the evening, the harbour-front at Islands Brygge is lovely, or it is a pleasant walk to Tivoli or Nyhavn.
Great location, cool apartment and good host! I could really recommend to stay in Andrea's house because it was very easy to get there from the airport and even if we arrived early morning, we didn't have to wait to get the keys. We also got a mini guide from Andreas which was very helpful. Islands Brygge is very nice area with good grocery stores and cafés. It is only two metro stops from city center and you can also walk there in 10-15minutes. We really liked Copenhagen, relaxed atmosphere and beautiful city!
I had a great stay in Andreas's apartment. Andreas was a great host when he welcomed us and was brilliant with communication. He even emailed us a city guide he had created which included a dummy's guide to getting there from the airport which is super simple. The location is good and easy to access the centre of the city. The bathroom/wet room is tiny but this I understand is to be expected in Copenhagen.
Overall I had a wonderful stay in this nice apartment and Andreas was really helpful.
I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Andreas!
About the Host, Andreas
I am living in Copenhagen and working as a Management Consultant after recently finishing my Ma degree in Political Science.
I live together with my girlfriend Henriette, who studies at University of Copenhagen. We both like concerts and to travel and believe that the best way to experience a place is by foot and talking with the locals! Besides Copenhagen we have both lived in New York and Berlin.
