Welcome to Casa Catrina, a colorful, art-filled retreat inspired by Mexico’s joyful traditions of life, remembrance, and creativity. Designed by award-winning photographer and world traveler Ron Jordan. The home blends authentic folk art, vibrant color, and modern comfort into a warm, inspiring space. Enjoy handcrafted décor, a quiet backyard, and morning espresso before exploring downtown Pensacola.

The space
Casa Catrina is owned by an award-winning photographer who, through his own original photography and remarkable art collected in Mexico City over the past decade, offers guests a colorful glimpse into the tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead, which is a joyful celebration of life, remembrance, and culture.

The home features framed fine-art pieces by the Mexican collective Ariosto Rivera, created using the ancient Popotillo technique that arranges naturally dyed plant fibers on beeswax to form luminous, textured mosaics of color and light. These rare works, along with authentic Mexican folk art and Ron’s own photography, bring depth and authenticity to the home’s art-forward design.

Styled in a “Mexican Farmhouse” aesthetic, Casa Catrina provides a fun, vibrant living space that blends color, simplicity, and casual elegance. The kitchen is well-appointed with a gas stove, modern appliances, a dining nook for group meals, and a counter-height bar with three stools.

Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests comfortably, complemented by two full bathrooms, a cozy back patio, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.

Located in North Downtown Pensacola, the home is just a seven-minute drive from Palafox Street’s galleries, restaurants, and bars, and offers quick access over the Three-Mile Bridge to Gulf Breeze and Santa Rosa Island, home to some of the best beaches in the U.S.

Casa Catrina is perfect for guests who appreciate unique, art-inspired spaces, creative design, and close proximity to downtown—all at an affordable price.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire home, including the living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, and fenced backyard with patio seating. The house is entirely private during your stay with no shared spaces.

A digital welcome guide is provided before arrival with details about amenities, neighborhood tips, and house procedures. For safety and storage reasons, a few small areas such as owner closets and maintenance supplies are not accessible. Otherwise, everything in Casa Catrina is yours to enjoy.
