The Space

With a view from the big balcony to the famous Vondelpark in the middle of the old centre of Amsterdam, this apartment is a wonderful, clean & spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Up to 2 guests can stay! Situated in a beautiful surrounding and close to the exciting parts of Amsterdam. Like the famous Jordaan, Dam Square, 5 minutes walk! to the museum district (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh & Rembrandt) and Amsterdam Central Station. It is close to the airport as well; it takes less than 30 minutes with bus 197.

The room with new plasma TV is in one of the typical brick stone housings of Amsterdam and has all the comforts that you would expect. It has a authentique and well-functioning kitchen. The bathroom is new (march 2013) and shared with another guestroom. Fresh towels will be provided. The option to cook for oneself can be welcoming as well. The kitchen is full of equipped with a Nespresso machine. Every day

Vondelpark is the biggest and most charming park of the city. You look out of bedroom onto this beautiful park. With the use of natural elements it is like being in a forest with the park as neighbor. It’s for those who want something special during their trip. It’s close to the grocery and other shops, the biggest Apple Store of the world recently opened just upon the street. There are numbers of trendy cafes and restaurants in this neighborhood. Feel like a local for a few days; it’s easy to rent a bike at this location.

We love to give our guest extra information and give them a warm welcome in our beautiful city.

  • Had an awesome 3 day weekend in Jan's house in Amsterdam. Vondel park and the surrounding neighbourhood is a beautiful area to stay. Jan is a very attentive, professional and accommodating host. Recommended to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

  • Jan (email hidden)! Very kind and he gave us some good advice. The entire house is really clean. The room was really nice and it's all like the pictures. Great location, 5 minutes by walk from Leidseplein. We will go back here if we decide to go back in Amsterdam.

  • The place is cute, exactly the same as you see on the picture. Jan is very nice and kind. The location is very good. It is in a quiet neighborhood but you will be directed to the city center within a few minutes walk. There are loads of restaurants to choose from. Jan prepared us with bottled water, fresh fruits and breakfast each day. Was a nice stay with Jan. I would recommend you live on the third floor if you have the choice. The floor is like a bit too thin when people walk above you at night.

  • The accommodation perfectly fitted the needs, location is great and it's even so silent that the window can stay open during the nights! Also, the park next to the accommodation is wonderful. Thank you!

  • Myself and my girlfriend stayed with Jan for 2 nights. We arrived late and were greeted with a big smile and 2 beers, a great start to our trip in Amsterdam! The room was huge, clean and spacious with a great balcony. The shower room was nice and modern, although it was on the floor above ours, but we didn't mind. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, tea and coffee on offer. Overall a great stay, Jan (email hidden) and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the place to our friends.

  • Very nice B&B in typical Amsterdam town house, quiet and central located. Nice room with balcony and good king size bed. Great host which really made us feel welcome and relaxed. Perfect address for a weekend getaway or even longer...

  • Jan was a very friendly and accommodating man. The room was very clean and had a wonderful balcony. The breakfast in the morning was very casual and nice. It is a nice value for the money as long as you can deal with a shared bathroom on different floors.
