About this listing
Beautiful one bedroom apartment in period building in Brighton. Large and modern interior within Georgian building with working fireplace and period features, modern furnishings with lots of art, great location with free off street parking (if you let me know you need it), high ceilings and all the gadgets and mod cons you might want or need.
The apartment is light and spacious, well decorated with wood floors, large bay windows, Philips Hue lighting system, super-fast fibre-optic wifi broadband, excellent sound system in each room, and 42 inch flatscreen smart tv with cable, Netflix, Sky Movies and catch-up services.
The bedroom is very large with a big comfortable king size bed, built in wardrobes, and huge bay windows. Very large living room with period fireplace, cable tv, two big comfortable sofas, and Heals glass dining table seating six.
Great kitchen with everything you might need- oven, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a lovely deep bath and power shower (tons of hot water) and a washer and dryer are in the utility closet.
The area is fantastic. Just round the corner from 7 dials in Brighton, and close to many fun pubs, and good restaurants and shops. Central Brighton and the seafront are a 20 minute walk, or 5 minutes on the bus, and central London is 50 minutes away by train.
It's a great neighbourhood, and a really nice flat. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The guests have access to all areas of the apartment.
Interaction with Guests
I like to leave guests to their own devices to enjoy the apartment and surrounding area, although I'm only a phone call away for any questions.
I want you to enjoy my flat, and my neighbours are nice, but help me keep it that way by being considerate. Please don't make too much noise ie, loud music. No parties obviously. Please do not use the phone except in an emergency, and leave money for any pay-per-view services you order on the television
I really hope you enjoy my place, just treat it how you would like someone to treat your home.
So lovely!! My choice to stay at Gus's flat was spot on. Location, decorating, appointments... it had everything I needed to relax and enjoy myself while visiting Brighton. The weather was hot the day I arrived & Gus had a pitcher of sweet tea in the refrigerator for my arrival. A classy gentleman indeed! I would highly recommend.
What a great place! We were there on a hot weather weekend and it was very airy. Lovely high ceilings and beautifully furnished. We loved it. Gus even left some iced tea for us to enjoy after our journey down from London. The parking space is a real bonus if you have to drive but it's close enough to the train station. Highly recommended. Communicating with Gus was straightforward and easy. I am sure we'll be back.
We had a trip to Paris planned but with Eurostar closures we made our way to Brighton. Gus was an absolute star with such a last minute booking, he was quick to respond and got in touch with me to let me know the booking was all good to go.
The flat is just lovely in a great location and we will definitely look at staying here next time we are in Brighton.
Wonderful flat - spacious, immaculate and funky. Nice shops and amenities round the corner and a short stroll to station and the Lanes. Gus was a gent, too. Would heartily recommend.
Great flat to spend a weekend or longer in Brighton.
Superb location, especially with all the new places opening up in the seven dials area.
Gus was a very accommodating host in allowing us to stay longer on our final day.
A lovely large space to chill out in with parking which is a huge bonus for brighton ! A good location taking us about 10 minutes to get to North Laine area. Great communication with Gus. Would definitely use again.
The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
About the Host, Gus
I love travelling, immersing myself in different cultures for a bit, and meeting lots of people.
I'm a fun guy, good morals, good manners - try to be a gentleman, good job here in the UK, and every now and then I like to break off and have a bit of an adventure.
I enjoy cycling, running (when I manage to bully myself off the sofa), photography, concerts, doing a bit of the gym, exploring. I can't cook and generally won't try, but love finding great little restaurants.
Just found Airbnb. Seems like such a good idea
