We spent ten lovely days at Edward's farm. It was exactly what we needed - a peaceful place to call home, centrally located for great snorkeling and exploring the north and west sides of the island. Far enough from Kona to get out of the tourist traps but close enough for easy day trips. Lovely view of the ocean and sunsets off the lanai was a great bonus. Highly recommended need for a couple. Bug spray is helpful. Fun to listen to and watch the wild turkeys, chickens, frogs, mongooses and geckos.

The studio apartment was a wonderful getaway! Edward was so helpful with directions and recommendations. The place is off the beaten path, complete with beautiful views (and the bugs, geckos, and neighborhood chickens that I think come along with tropical Hawaii living) - which was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen allowed us to stay in and cook many nights, but it was also a quick trip to restaurants nearby. It was easy to drive north to Kona and the white sand beaches like Hapuna, and just as easy to travel south to the black sand beach and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The best part was how quickly we could get to two-step for snorkeling -- about 10 min and we were there! One thing not discernible from the pictures is that the bathroom door is more like a closet door that leaves something to be desired in terms of privacy. But all in all, a great experience. Thank you, Edward for a great trip!

This location was central for splitting our site-seeing between Kona and the Volcanoes National Park. The location is near a fabulous snorkeling site, Two-steps, and the beautiful Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park. If you lean against the porch rail just so, you can actually see the latter park (and the ocean) in the distance down the hill through tall trees. I found this west-ward view from the porch most amazing. It gave me a tranquil sense of peace and a view of the sunset. Because this porch is covered, we could also enjoy it when it rained. The unit itself is rustic, providing ample privacy. Being 1000 feet above sea-level, we found the unit comfortable temperature-wise (April visit), and even slightly chilly at night. I enjoyed the rural setting's bird and frog calls, the gentle fragrance of orange blossoms from the nearby orange tree and eating the fresh fruit we picked from the trees.

We stayed for 5 nights, watching the Sun set into the ocean while papayas slowly ripe on the tree. Enjoyed the sound of frogs, wild birds and chickens - the frogs do not sound like those we found here in Washington, they sound like some radio signals. Saw some wild turkeys on our last day there and they were beautiful! We found many plants, from dwarf pineapples a few inches talk to giant avocado trees. House is clean and neat, family style. The best part is the warm greeting from the site manager - Georgie. He left some papayas for us to enjoy. This is not an experience you can get at a fancy hotel, but definitely one you won't forget.

Simply put, the Studio, of George & Edward's is a fantastic place to stay for any or all of your time on Hawaii. Lovely view off the deck; mature fruit & nut trees framing the ocean. Lush & private. Close to a favorite snorkeling spot of ours, Two Step/Place of refuge. Edward & George are friendly, highly responsive & generous with the organic produce of their farm. We had a wonderful stay here & you will too!

We absolutely loved staying at Ed's place! Such a beautiful setting with views right down to the ocean from the balcony. The apartment is rustic but very spacious and clean, and well stocked with everything you might need for your stay. Fresh papaya and avocado from the farm was such a nice touch too. Only 10 minutes drive from beautiful two-step, so we could get out snorkelling early in the morning before the hoards of tourists arrive, and we even swam with the spinner dolphins! The location just off hwy 11 is very convenient for getting around the island and we found it to be the perfect base for exploring. We had an absolutely magical holiday, Mahalo Ed and George!
