Living spaces in Hong Kong are compact, so get out and explore the bustling area.
Causeway Bay and Wanchai are the heart of Hong Kong's consumer culture. Every square inch is filled with shopping malls, department stores, boutiques, market stalls, hole in the wall cafés, international restaurants and banquet halls.
Within walking distance of the apartment, you'll find almost every type of cuisine on the planet as well as the HK must try's: dim sum, roast meats, noodles and congee, cha chan teng (a unique fusion of Chinese/Western food), and snacks and desserts.
If shopping is your thing, you'll find the whole range: From bargains and nicknacks at the Jardine's Crescent street market and Spring Garden Lane, to affordable youth fashion boutiques in Island Beverly Centre, to the tech heaven of the Wanchai Computer Centre, to mid-priced and luxury goods in SOGO and Hysan Place, to the up market fashions found in Lee Gardens, Times Square and Fashion Walk.
You are also right next to Happy Valley, where you can enjoy a beer and watch a horse race on most Wednesdays.
Terrific beaches, museums, galleries and sights are all easily accessible. Hong Kong's best kept secret is the wonderful hiking and nature just minutes from the city. There are a couple hikes that you can start from the apartment.
It couldn't be easier to get to the apartment from the airport. The A11 bus picks you up at the airport and drops you off just downstairs from the apartment, and gives you great views of the city as you come into town. You can also get to the apartment by Airport Express (high speed train) and taxi.
The apartment is just a 3 minute walk from Wanchai MTR station (our subway system) and is serviced by Hong Kong's classic tramways and many bus lines. The famous Star Ferry is also just a short walk away.

Everything about the description and apartment were accurate with the listing. Seamless process to get access through the different doors and codes. Alex's guidance was spot-on.
The apartment is clean and as pictured. Cleaner than other places for the cost, and standard Hong Kong size: small, but you're not there to hang out in the room. Great location, no noise problems, check in/out was a breeze. Generous welcome beverage package. Couldn't get the tv working, but with high speed wi-fi it wasn't missed. Recommended.
The apartment was small but very cozy and well located. We had a wonderful stay in Hongkong! Alex was a very responsible and welcoming host. He offered us softdrinks and wine and was always available. Definitely recommended!
I would fully recommend Alex's apartment. It's in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Wan Chai with easy access to buses and the MTR. There were no issues with noise as it's several floors up on a street that's tucked away from the main bars and clubs. Getting there and getting around couldn't be easier and Alex provided great directions. He was also very communicative and helpful before my stay. The apartment is small but so is everywhere in HK and it's been kitted out really well. Very much appreciated the well stocked fridge and a cold beer on arrival!
The apartment is clean, close to the Subway Wanchai Station. When we got out the subway from one exit on Hennessy Road, turned right, and walked along Hennessy Road for a few minutes and found the cross with Fleming Road. The apartment is at the corner of Jaffe and Fleming Roads. A lot good chinese restaurants and night clubs locate along Lockhart Road.
Alex is a very nice host, prepares a lot of wine and soft drinks as present in his kitchen. The apartment is air-conditioned, and comfortable to be live in it in summer. The bed is a little bit too narrow for two persons.

About the Host, Alex
I'm from North Carolina, but I've lived in Hong Kong for 11 years.
I love living in and travelling across Asia. You'll usually see me with camera in hand trying to blend in with the local culture, which is difficult for a tall white guy.
But, whether I'm treking across a desert or window shopping on high streets, I always love to meet other like minded free spirits.
My wife and I have really enjoyed preparing our place to be ready for guests. We hope you enjoy it. Please let me know if there is anything special I can prepare for your trip. :-)
As a host, I'll try my best to point out the colorful local scene, and as a guest, I'll I try to leave nothing but good memories.
Famous HK egg tart shop. You have to try them maybe with some Hong Kong style milk tea or yuan yuang (tea+coffee+evaporated milk+sugar = a buzz worthy of this city)
Dimsum in Shanghai in the 20s. Need I say more?Johnston Road Hong Kong Island
Sitting right next to Starbucks and Pacific Coffee, Caffè Habitū has the best coffee around as well as some decent, light Italian fare.
American breakfast at its best -- pancakes, waffles omelets, eggs benedict, bottomless cup of coffee.Lockhart Road Wan Chai Hong Kong Island
Hong Kong traditional walled village cuisine focusing on in season ingredients. Try the steamed shredded taro with pork, and steamed egg with fish intestines in a clay pot.
Great expos (Always good to check out what expos are on even if you arent a buyer), also has a good shop selling local, Hong Kong designed goods. Browse then go have dim sum overlooking the harbour.
A must if you havent yet! Take the Star Ferry across the harbor. Cheap yet breath taking!
Typhoon shelter crab used to be made on junk boats and served in typhoon shelters. Choose how hot you want it. I also recommend the salt and pepper fried tofu.
Terrific dimsum in the morning or early afternoon. Ask for a table near the window and watch the harbour as you enjoy the food. :)Expo Dr
