Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Mia and Anthony are perfect hosts, always thoughtful, and even though I have been back to stay at their place a number of times they always strive to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

As I have stated in other reviews, the apartment is in one of the most convenient locations (email hidden)ly and walkable neighbourhood, and has everythong you are likely to need.

    March 2014
  • I had an excellent stay at Mia's place. The location is amazing- lots of great restaurants and things to do within walking distance, which is rare for LA. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, and Mia was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

  • Mia was a great host. The apartment was spotless, designed to maximise space and was very comfortable. The location is fantastic. In terms of exploring SilverLake and Echo park you really can't get more central. There are many local fabulous food experiences to enjoy, from the local food trucks to awesome fusion Vietnamese.

If you want to experience the real LA i would encourage anyone to stay out here vs the unusual west Hollywood. This is far more interesting.

    February 2014
  • I moved to LA in December and wanted to stay in a furnished place while I figure out where to move permanently. Mia's place was perfect! Great hosts! The place is very central, walkable, and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend Mia's place!

    February 2014
  • Work took me to LA for three weeks, visiting the House Clinic. I need somewhere close to stay and this apartment was in the right area. The apartment is very conveniently located next to an intersection with lots of bus lines. I took the bus everywhere I needed to go around LA. TAP cards can be purchased and recharged at a store just near the bus stop - so easy! I also loved how close Vons was. I was surprised with how many restaurants and stores are nearby, I was really happy. A great discovery (with recommendation from Mia) was Silver Lake. Best coffee in LA!
The bonuses were more than just location though. A washer and dryer are invaluable when travelling. I also appreciated the kindness of Mia & Anthony. They were very caring and helpful, I felt welcomed.
The apartment was clean and comfortable. Lots of cupboard space. The kitchen was clean and the oven appeared to be hardly used. Love a kitchen when I'm away for a long period.
Most importantly, as a solo female traveller, I felt safe in the apartment and walking to the bus stop at night.
In the final week I rented a car and was able to park it on site, which was great as the street is busy.
The biggest surprise from the trip was my new found love of LA. My first two brief trips didn't leave me wanting to return, but after this trip, I'll be back. I think my experience at Mia's helped change my feelings about LA.
A couple of recommendations of nearby places to visit when you're there are:
Covell Wine Bar - great place for a drink! Went too many times
Mother Dough - authentic Napoli pizza, go after Covell for pizza and the burratta salad - delicious
Cafe Stella - love the food, French bistro.
Coffee Intelligentsia - next to Cafe Stella. Best coffee in LA in my opinion
    L & E Oyster Bar - Silver Lake.
A little further out - we loved Osteria Mozza, Red O, ink and AOC Wine Bar & Restaurant.
    Enjoy LA and the hospitality!

    December 2013
  • This was my 3rd stay with Mia and Anthony, and although shorter than my usual visit - it was as smooth as usual !

    November 2013
  • Mia & Anthony are very considerate and accommodating hosts. They were very friendly and considerate of my needs; (ie. provided extra clothes hangers, generous in sharing laundry facilities, offered to remedy dust and ants during a current repavement project). They were also very inviting and hospitable (i.e.. offered free fix to local events, provided tour guidance in local attractions, gave me a Starbucks card out of generosity, and showed me their home remodeling projects). Great people to have as hosts!!

    October 2013
  • This is the second time I have stayed with Mia and Anthony. Great convenient location, great hosts.

    September 2013
  • This was my first time in LA and I had a great time!, The location is really good, very central and convenient. Mia and Anthony are great hosts!

    August 2013
  • I had a great time staying with Mia and Anthony and recommend anyone who enjoys Echo Park to stay here. The newly redone lake is so close you and can walk! You are also very close to the 101 and many restaurants are within walking distance. I loved it.
