•A deck overlooking the surrounding woods
•Large windows bring in natural light, and the home remains quiet and private throughout the year.
•Pet-friendly
•Fast WiFi for streaming/calling

•Ideal for families, couples, and small groups seeking a calm forest stay

WHERE YOU'LL SLEEP:
•A spacious master bedroom on the top floor with a queen bed and a twin size futon.
•The landing upstairs has a full size bed overlooking the living room and south facing windows.
•The first floor has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed.

LIVING SPACES/KITCHEN:
•Fully equipped kitchen with coffee makers, dishes, mugs, cups, wine glasses, silverware, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, gas range and oven.
•Open floor plan with tall ceilings and large windows in the living room and dining area offering natural light and ample space.

EXTERIOR:
•Large yard and wrap around deck with hiking trails right outside the door.
•Roast marshmallows for s’mores around a wood fire outside under the stars. It is quiet and set back from the road, the only sounds you may hear at night are owls, coyotes, and crickets.

Pet friendly, please read our pet policies. Tilly, your host's friendly dog will be on site with her on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays - she loves other dogs and people. She may give a howl when she sees you out of excitement but other than that she’s quiet.

There is minimal cell service in Ashfield but the chalet has high speed WiFi which allows texts, video streaming and calls. There is also a landline.

THE PROPERTY & HERBAL GARDENS:
The chalet sits on a larger property that is also home to a small herbal product company and surrounding herbal gardens, which may be visible during your stay. These gardens are part of the landscape and contribute to the peaceful, natural setting.

The host works on the property a few days per week, primarily in the apothecary workspace, while guest use is centered on the private chalet and wooded areas.

Near the road, there is a small farm apothecary store open to the public sunrise to sunset, offering locally made herbal products. Visiting the store is optional for guests.

The site is peaceful but not isolated - the host may be on site during business hours.

SUNDAY WORKSHOPS:
From March through November, herbal workshops are held on Sundays for enrolled students.

These workshops:
•Take place on the same property
•Are held in the basement-level apothecary workspace, where the host works
•Occur in a separate area from the guest chalet
•On Sundays during this season, there may be moderate daytime activity near the apothecary and store area, including arriving and departing students. The guest chalet itself remains separate, private, and quiet, with no shared indoor spaces.

If you plan to be at the house during the day on Sundays and prefer complete solitude across the entire property, please keep this in mind when booking.

SPECIAL EVENTS?

Guests have full access to the chalet and its immediate outdoor space, including the deck and surrounding woods near the home. The apothecary space is not part of the guest space.
