The place of Rodalyn is fully furnished, warm and lovely interior. Our Aunties/Titas love the place when they drop us off. Very clean and cozy atmosphere.
We like how it that it has wifi and cable TV. There's also a small kitchen area where you can prepare your food. (We didn't cook though). Very Near SM Ecoland (we didn't get the chance to go since its closed for the holidays).
We are provided with fresh towels too! We didn't expect that but what's make it so lovely to stay here. It's like a condotel.
The only downside is that the place is not near from our relatives and friends. And the street going to the condo got flooded when the heavy rain poured.
We really enjoyed our stay, to all the people who helped our stay to be pleasant, we thank you very much!
The place is beautifully furnished and very clean, in a secured gated community. The location is also ideal and a few walking steps to SM Ecoland (shopping mall, but we only did our groceries since my husband and I are not shoppers). Also walking distance to Times Beach and there is a great lunch place we frequented (Bogser) on the beach with amazing BBQ and kinilaw (tuna with vinegar similar to poke in Hawaii).
Everything in the condo is fully furnished, wireless internet worked fast and fine except when you have to log into a VPN (not Rodalyn's issue, but more on our company's security measures).
Joy and Mhar, her caretaker, met us and such warm people and spoke very good English. We even had a delicious welcome Manila mangoes (yumm)! Whatever Rodalyn quoted us on Airbnb is the same amount and none of this surprises at end of the stay where you are charged electricity or use if the wifi like others do (well, that's what I've read on other hosts review).
We highly recommend and glad we found an ideal place to stay for our next visit.
We really enjoyed staying at Rodaly'ns place coz its very clean and cozy! I will highly recommend to others esp. to my friends and family and will surely comeback and stay at her (website hidden) her caretaker mhar, thank you so much for being so helpful and polite.
The accommodations in Davao City where excellent and just as described in the ad. Mhar was waiting to greet us when we arrived and the turn over was quick and efficient.
The mall is just across the street and easy access to the whole city. A dip in the pool was refreshing after our daily excursions.
The fact you accepted PayPal made the transaction easy.
I will certainly recommend your place to anyone planning a trip to Davao City.
Thanks Rodalyn for sharing your space with us.
The condo is very well located. A 5 minute walk to SM mall and there are easily available taxis at the front should you need to venture further afield. There are even motorised tricycles you can take. We took one to the beach which is very close by for a seafood meal.
The condo itself, although fairly compact, is well kept and very functional. There were lots of programmes to watch on the cable TV and the wifi was good too. The kitchen was well equipped. We had water delivered which was organised through the guard house. We also organised our laundry through them and everything went very smoothly.
The condo is fairly quiet as the windows look out onto a vacant land which is covered in greenery. The only issue with the condo is the design (which it I think shares with the One Oasis condo across the road). That is that there are windows opening to a common corridor which for privacy reason have to be always closed (so why bother with the windows?). But for a week's stay it wasn't a problem.
Ecoland 4000 is a smallish condominium complex which is great. It means you don't have to walk long distances and the guards get to know you very quickly. You get comfortable with your surroundings very quickly. The swimming pool is quite small but useable.
Mhar, the caretaker, is really nice and so helpful. We really appreciated that.
Thanks Rodalyn for letting us stay at your condo!
- The condo has a very good location, close to SM City Mall and the NCCC mall. Even so, it's reasonably quiet at night, with only the occasional honk from the street. No roosters nearby, thankfully.
- It's nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed in the master bedroom
- The caretaker is very efficient, and responds quickly to requests. The owner is also available on the phone if necessary.
- Appliances are in good order, except the iron, which needs to be replaced. A/C is quiet and doesn't use too much electricity.
- Furniture is functional
- There are always taxis available just outside
- The guards are service oriented and helpful
- The couch should probably be replaced soon, as it's showing its age
- The drawers and closets in the second bedroom should be tidied up a little.
- The water pressure is low. But that is pretty common in the Philippines.
- The walls in the master bedroom could do with another layer of paint, but it's a very minor point.
- Only after I had paid for the stay was I informed that the electricity was not included in the price. That's the sort of thing that should be mentioned up front.
In summary, I had a very good stay at this condo. Europeans should be aware that all the lighting are bright blue fluorescent lamps in the ceiling, even in the bedrooms. No reading lights, in other words, which I'm told is how it is in most Philippine bedrooms. I had to buy my own lamp to get some light that was less fierce.
