Interaction with Guests
I do not live in the building but i do always come to the apartment to get the room ready for our guests. I like to make sure that all is clean and that the guest is satisfied. I have a 24 hour check-in system in place to accommodate any late check-ins or any guests that are a bit late. you can reach via mobile phone or AirBnB message at any time, please don't hesitate :)
I used to run my guest house on this very street, so i should know the area very well. The flat is right in the heart of London so it is difficult to pick out any one place in particular that you must visit. But for eating out my favourite is Old Compton Street, one of the most renowned places in London to serve dinner til late at night. The British Museum is at the heart of Bloomsbury, a mere walking distance away from the apartment. Historically, Bloomsbury is associated with the education, medicine and mostly, the art. Therefore the area sets a sophisticated yet very modern atmosphere. The Bloomsbury theatre, a very respected theatre within the eyes of Londoners and actors/actresses alike; is located within the area.
The closest tube stations are Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern line) and Holborn (Victoria and Central line, both are a 5 minute walk away.
No smoking inside the premises.
No pets allowed inside the apartments.
No parties to keep the apartments clean please.
Great stay in a wonderful location !!! It couldn't have been easier to access the flat, which has a full kitchen and even laundry, it's excellently located right at the British Museum and very easily walkable to some of the best that London has to offer (great shopping, restaurants, and pubs in Covent Garden, even Westminster and Big Ben), and easy public transportation. (I also highly recommend the London Review of Books store just a few steps from the flat).
Maggie was a great host and very communicative -- and even quite understanding when I accidentally took the key on my flight to Frankfurt with me :)
I would highly recommend this spot.
For the $210.00 a night we were disappointed. The bathroom was the smallest we have ever seen, the sizeof an airplane bathroom. There were 6" long dark hairs on thebath mat and neither of us have 6" long hair nor is it dark. The windows were so thin the sounds outside made it sound like there were no windows at all. There was no TV and the chair was very old and dirty with a towel covering it. The 3 flights of very narrow spiral staircase made it extremely difficult to carry our heavy luggage up. And Maggies last name is more likely Patel than Smith.
The host canceled this reservation the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Picking up and dropping of the key was simple and easy.
The flat is very well placed with easy access to Central London so its a good base for getting out and about.
The kitchen and accommodation are adequate.
there's wifi to get online.
At 6' 3" I wouldn't want to be any bigger to use the bathroom which is compact.
Listing was just as described. Location on a quiet street just moments from the British Museum and Holborn underground station was perfect. Excellent value.
The flat is lovely and very conveniently located. It had everything we needed and the host was available by text and very helpful in responding to our questions. I have already recommended it to friends and family.
Maggie was very responsive and helpful by email.
The apartment is well located in a central area of London, within easy walking distance from the British Museum, London School of Economics and Political Science, and a number of professional associations as well as the trendy Covent Garden area.
The apartment is quite large and well-equipped, having everything necessary for a longer stay including a stove, oven, and washer dryer. Bedsheets, towels, handsoap, dishwashing liquid, and kitchen utensils were all provided.
Some noise should be expected, given that the apartment is located in a central area of London, but it is neither constant nor intolerable.
Overall, the apartment is a great value for money, especially taking into account the location.
