Mt Olive is the urban retreat you need. Getaway to this spacious, vintage-camp inspired, two bedroom cabin with a loft. Cozy up by the double-sided fireplace with a beverage of choice and your favorite people. Retreat for deep work as well. Our cabin features fast reliable wifi, a large working table, and a tucked away writing desk. Take in the wooded views from every room - you’ll forget you’re 10 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown.
The space
Mt Olive is a brand new renovation of a 1930s family home, tucked away at the end of a quaint, residential street. This unique property provides 360 degrees of wooded views set atop a little hill in East Point, GA. With a clean modern build-out, camp-inspired decor, and vaulted wood ceilings, the cabin provides an elevated guest experience that is perfect for couples or small groups.
Please note, while the term “cabin” has become synonymous with the mountains, you are not in the mountains. You are conveniently located 10 minutes from the Atlanta Airport and 20 minutes from Downtown.
This cabin is both functional and inviting. The Great Room is divided by a stunning double-sided gas fireplace. On the one side, put a record on and cozy up by the fireplace with a good book, or relax on the large leather couch and flip on the 55” TV. Netflix is provided, but feel free to use any of your logins for endless entertainment on the Roku.
On the other side, dining for six is available. The large dining table is also perfect for board games, or when necessary, a large workspace with a view. Our wifi fully supports working from home, streaming services, and multiple video calls at once.
Venture up to the lofted space for cozy corners and a reading nook. You’ll find a variety of games, puzzles, and books. This might be our favorite space in the cabin.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a chef in mind. Quartz countertops and cabinets stocked with cookware, utensils, basic spices, and oils. Bring your coffee and enjoy Bonavita’s Connoisseur drip-coffee maker, which mimics the artisan pour-over brewing method by pausing the water flow allowing the coffee grounds time to bloom. For the non-coffee lovers, there is also a selection of teas and an electric kettle for your convenience.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor. Natural light pours into each bedroom. Which is also why we have blackout curtains for a good night’s rest. The beds are super comfortable with crisp sheets and down-free bedding for those with allergies.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed, 50” TV with Netflix and Roku, a dedicated writing desk, a closet for your hanging clothes, and an ensuite bath. The bath has a standing shower and double vanity. Fresh towels, soaps, and shampoo are provided.
The front bedroom has a queen size bed, 50” TV with Netflix & Roku, a large dresser, and a closet for your hanging clothes.
The second bath is located in the hall and has guest access. There is a tub and shower. Enjoy the bath salts provided.
Two additional twin beds are located in the upstairs loft.
Sip your morning coffee on either the front or back porch. The spacious back porch has a large picnic table, sectional furniture, and a three-burner gas grill.
From the deck, walk down to the outdoor fire pit and enjoy some hot cocoa by the fire. We even have extendable skewers for roasting marshmallows.

Guests have access to the entire house and property.

The cabin is not child-proof and has many areas unsafe for children (stairs, sharp edges on furniture, rocky terrain around the exterior, etc.), so please be aware if you choose to bring your little ones that you are doing so at your own risk and keep an eye on them at all times.
Please know that we are located in a wooded area. We use a pest control service in and around the home, but you are still likely to see a few insects or other living beings from Mother Nature. We ask that you do your best to keep outside doors closed when not actively walking through to help prevent any bugs from getting inside.
