About This Listing
Our rooms, renovated with taste, are surrounded by greenery, in silence and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. From the garden (to you), you can also enjoy the beauty of the towers of the Village of Montichiello.
We offer hospitality in a Farm restructured with a lot of taste to MONTICCHIELLO of PIENZA. We are in Tuscany and precisely in Val of Orcia.
From us you can enjoy of a panorama mozzafiato, of a pleasant silence, of a regenerative rest in very comforting rooms and well you furnish; You won't have problems of parking lot and you can reach the historical center of the country afoot.
In little time you can reach PIENZA, to make a thermal bath to Bath VIGNONI, to go for wine cellars to Montalcino to sip the famous Brunello.
The owners of "Farm RIGOPESCI", in love of a territory of extraordinary beauty, considered World Patrimony Unesco, have to heart to share with you places less frequented and known in degree to reserve surprises and emotions, crossing roads a little you frequent and of great landscape charm. WE MAKE OF THE NEW FRIENDS MATRIMONIAL ROOMS WITH INDEPENDENT ENTRY AVAILABLE,• KITCHEN / STAY FOR THE BREAKFASTS OR FOR THE MOMENTS OF RELAX.
We ***loved*** our stay at Podere Rigopesci!!! Carla, her son Giuseppe, and his sweet girlfriend Nicole were all welcoming and helpful. Between my very limited Italian and their much-better English, my husband and I were able to learn more about nearby hill towns we were planning to visit.
Each morning, we were treated to an authentic Tuscan breakfast, often including fresh fruit from the family garden and homemade pastries. Everything was delicious.
The room we stayed in (with the neat ladder against the wall) was spacious and comfortable with a private bath, a sitting area, and two locking doors to the outside. It adjoins the common breakfast area. The shower had great pressure and was very quick to heat up. The king bed (two twins together with king bedding) was quite comfy, and along with the clean country air, our tired feet (from exploring) and the ultra-quiet environment, we slept hard!!
The grounds were lovely, including a beautiful backyard garden where we sat and drank wine under the stars.
We highly recommend this B&B! Our only "wish" is that air conditioning would be nice - or fans- because it was quite hot and humid during our June stay... But... Not at all a deal-breaker. I'd return to Carla's home-away-from-home in a heartbeat.
This is the coolest place we have ever stayed - EVER! Carla's apartment is very comfortable and she and her family made very entertaining, interesting, caring and wonderful hosts. They have taken extra care to provide a clean, beautiful, modern space for their guests that also maintains a very Tuscan charm. As an added bonus, Carla was very patient with my limited, choppy attempts to speak Italian with her (she speaks some English so we figured it out)! But her son spoke perfect English and was also a very warm and fun person to get to know. I wish we could have spent a lot more time there, and am sincerely hoping we can return some day. We miss her family and the wonderful accommodations already!
The shared kitchen/living room area was so perfect and it was very nice to have a convenient space where we could cook a bit for our daughter, make afternoon coffee or tea, and enjoy meeting the other family staying there. This is also where Carla prepares an absolutely delicious breakfast each morning. She even cuts fresh flowers from the property to keep the room beautiful and vibrant.
But then when we wanted privacy, our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also so nice - a nice big tile shower with plenty of warm water and water pressure, which we have learned is definitely not a given, especially traveling in the Italian countryside. The main bed was extra roomy (equivalent to a king size, also rare in Italy!) and very comfortable. And we are picky about beds! She also put an extra child's bed in our room for our daughter and she loved it. We had plenty of blankets, towels, etc.
The property (Carla's family lives in the main house and the apartments are a building just down the hill from the main house with plenty of convenient parking) is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view of Montichiello up on a hilltop and the surrounding Tuscan countryside. There are many flowers and plants to enjoy in Carla's yard, and they have a really nice patio/pergola area that is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Montichiello is a really quaint town with absolutely awesome food and views of the Val d'Orcia, and is perfectly located between Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza. We honestly could not have been happier with everything: the hosts, the apartment, the grounds, the location. It was all so so perfect.
The absolute HIGHLIGHT of our Italy trip! Located just on the outer edge of Monticchiello, this place is what me and my now fiance consider our home in Italy. Carla and her son Giuseppe and his girlfriend Nicole were absolute awesome hosts. They gave us great recommendations of nearby towns and hot springs. We spent an hour before dinner having wine with Giuseppe and Nicole the night I asked my girlfriend to marry me. Nicole made coffee and breakfast for us each morning (they even bought a cappaccuino maker just for us! [and future guests of course]). We consider them our family in Italy and miss them a lot. The room is PLENTY for two people, spacious, comfortable, and with a breathtaking view in the backyard. The room is the master bedroom/bathroom in a three bedroom guest house but it is seperated from the others so you have a lot of privacy. When we do return to Italy, we will ABSOLUTELY come back! Ciao Carla, Giuseppe, e Nicole!!!! Tanto Amore!!! -Phillip and Uyen
Carla villa is very beautiful with 3 bedrooms inside.
Every room is different and very spacious.
Quite an easy drive to get to carla place.
This area of val d'orcia is very beautiful and worth spending more than a week here.
Carla provides her guests with the care one would give to dear friends. All our needs we're met. We were welcomed on arrival at whatever time we pleased. She upgraded our room.
Encore merci !
