Staying at this rental with our group was absolutely perfect - just the right size for all 7 of us and having our own house made the trip super special! This home is just about a 10-15 scenic/nature walk to the beach - just watch-out for the folks heading to the dunes on the beach... in their cars! :)
Giving this rental four stars and would have given it the 5th if there had just been a grill on the property; granted - I hadn't paid attention to this detail when booking, so totally my fault, but we did go to the local hardware store to pick-up a small Weber. The other detail not especially clear to me (but keep the grill note in mind, maybe this is noted!) is the additional unit on this property. The young woman staying there for the month was great, happened to be our age and hung-out with us a bit - but knowing this prior to renting the house would be helpful. Not any issues that happened with this, just felt like we might have bothered her!
Besides those couple notes though, the location was sublime and fairly secluded from the main downtown (though in this area - that's not far!) and the neighbors were very welcoming too, helping-out with helpful information (watch for overly-comfortable pet raccoons when grilling at night and take the footbridge to get to the levy that takes you all the way to the beach, for example!). The house had all the other necessities, including wireless and a washer/dryer for sandy drawers. Since you're close to the dunes, there's all kinds of fun stuff to go do like rent a dune-buggy, go hang-gliding or just jump in the chilly water (our pick!).
Again - a wonderful trip in a beautiful beach town, for way less than most of the properties we looked at. We'll definitely consider staying at Alana's place again if she'll have us! :)
