Donna was the most warm, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable host we could have hoped for. I've (email hidden) before, but this was the prototypical experience (the best experience I've had) in terms of ambiance, character, and comfort - not to mention delicious breakfasts.
The Madeline room was roomy enough for us, and decorated in such a way that it felt like home. Actually the whole house felt like home after only two days. We had a hard time leaving.
Donna has plenty of bikes available to her guests, free of charge. One of many awesome perks.
Ruby's Cove is literally right next to Greenport Brewery, which is really cool if you're a beer lover (the beer is very good and the tasting room is nice).
Donna will offer discounts on certain wine tastings around the North Fork, and she can provide a town beach pass as well. In the fridge for complimentary enjoyment in the common area is local wine from the North Fork, and several growlers of craft beer from next door. Really awesome perks.
Breakfast on the beautiful wrap-around porch, surrounded by flowers, was really nice, really delicious, and really memorable.
There are a bunch of solid places to stay in Greenport, but if you want to experience Victorian charm with plenty of privacy and a gracious host, this is the best. I truly and heartily recommend Ruby's Cove.
The listing was perfectly accurate and our stay was also perfect. Donna was an excellent hostess and the home was a gem. Everything we could ask for was taken care of by Donna and the breakfast was delicious & plentiful. I will stay here again!
Donna is an excellent host. She is very friendly and picked us up from the bus, which was nice. Breakfast was delicious and the room lovely and quiet. We will be recommending her to friends!
Thanks for a lovely weekend Donna.
