Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Find your calm in our secluded mountainside home located 10 mins from Smugglers Notch. Our home is located on 7 acres of private land. The front of the property features a pond nestled into a thoughtfully landscaped gentle hill. Paths are maintained throughout for pleasant daytime strolls. The back of the home offers private access to a huge nature preserve w/ wooded trails & streams. Inside, modern conveniences are offered including fully stocked kitchen, traditional sauna, AC, and fast wifi.

The space
This home was built with nature in mind. Enter through the front doors and access a truly unique sun room which takes in the warmth from its south-facing windows to allow radiant heat to warm the rest of the home. Natural light fills the home on allowing several spots in the home to serve as perfect reading nooks. Desks and work stations are scattered about the home. Along with reliable high speed internet access, this home becomes the perfect sanctuary for those who need to work remote.

The kitchen serves as the heart of the home. Recently renovated through the eyes of two avid cooks, this kitchen is fully stocked with everything a cook can appreciate. The massive butcherblock island is ideal for spreading out plus a dining table in the kitchen.

A kitchen, solarium, living room, full bath, mud room, and guest bedroom complete the first floor. The living room features a large screen smart TV and gas powered fireplace. The mudroom features a massive wood burning stove, desk, and access to a guest bedroom with queen bed. The full bath is located off of the kitchen and offers a beautiful pebble floor shower.

Walk upstairs using the staircase at the center of the home to access 3 more bedrooms. The furthest bedroom has the most unique setup with six large skylights. The bedroom has a queen bed, a desk, and a bookcase filled with books and cookbooks. From this bedroom, there is another room that offers a twin sized trundle bed that can comfortably sleep two people. This room also has a washer and dryer. Adjoining this room is a jack & jill bathroom featuring a wood enclosed step-in tub with waterfall shower. On the other side of the bathroom is another bedroom with a queen bed and walk-in closet. The last bedroom has a desk within the room, as well as access to the upstairs sunroom with another desk accompanied by a beautiful view of the pond and mountains.

Head to the downstairs to access the last bedroom/"fun" room and the sauna. This "fun room" contains a queen bed, Foozball, 2 massive bean bag chairs, board games, a guitar, functional N64 (with games and 4 controllers), and a 60" Smart TV.

Warm up after a chilly day on the slopes in the traditional sauna. The Finnish sauna sets 2, can heat up to 185 degrees and is equipped with bluetooth speakers. Splash water onto the sauna rocks to create steam. Essential oils are provided for a truly relaxing experience. Located next to the sauna is a wellness room with rubber floors great for exercise, stretching, and meditating,

Other nice touches include an expansive deck with an unbelievable view, a grill, Adirondack chairs around a firepit, Sonos speaker, stationary bike, and all tvs loaded with Netflix & Hulu. You'll never want to leave this place (except for hiking and skiing of course!)

Only a 10 min. drive to all of the activities at Smuggler's Notch Resort, restaurants, bars, and hiking, as well as the magical Golden Dog Farm "Golden Retriever Experience".

Guest access
The driveway runs deep into the property before circling around a cherry tree. It offers ample parking for up to 6 vehicles. One car can park in front of the garage. Two cars can park to the right of the circle. And 4 more cars can park around the circle.

Other things to note
4WD or AWD is a necessity in the snowy months in Vermont. As such, it's required your vehicle has 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive to access our Airbnb during winter and early spring.

Please showers only for adults — our vintage tub isn’t ideal for full baths and uses a lot of water. Baths are okay for young children. Thanks for understanding!

If you plan on bringing your dog, we kindly ask to wipe off dirty paws, and keep them off the beds and couch. We want to keep home fresh for all guests. Thank you!

Neighborhood highlights

We live in the mountains of Cambridge just 10 minutes away from Smugglers Notch Resort. The house is completely private as it's located on 10 acres and on the perimeter of a 100+ acre nature preserve called the Krusch Nature Preserve. Our front yard is expansive with a private pond and surrounded by evergreens and other beautiful trees. The backyard is the nature preserve which is 100s of acres of trails, trees, and streams. It is quite magical here.

My husband Matt and I love to travel around the world and visit new places often. After living in NYC for several years, we relocated to Vermont in 2019 where we open up our humble home to share with others. We hope you will enjoy Vermont as much as we do! We love to cook, eat local, hike, ski, and spend time in nature. Vermont is such a great place to enjoy the best things in life and breath fresh air.
