I was looking for a place with quick & easy access to JFK. It worked out perfectly. Camilla sent really clear directions, so I managed to navigate the subway. I arrived in the evening and felt very safe & welcomed. The accommodation & facilities were excellent, highly recommended
Camilla was a sweetheart and her apartment was more than accommodating. I arrived after hours of travel and was exhausted- I felt awful for not wanting to socialize much, but Camilla quickly picked up on this and, after showing me the ropes, retreated to her own apartment downstairs. I was surprised to learn that the entire top floor of the apartment was just for me- it was complete with a kitchen, comfy bedroom with flat screen and cable, bathroom with a great shower, large dining room and even a washer/dryer. Camilla- I wish we got to chat a little longer and hope our paths cross again in the near future! Thanks for an awesome stay :)
I absolutely loved staying at Camilla's home. The vibe I received upon entering was comfy and safe. The room I stayed in was very spacious, well decorated, and the bed was super comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need in order to prepare your meals, so no need to always run out to spend money on fast food. Also, Camilla was a great hostess. She gave me the full rundown on how everything operates. I didn't get to chat with her a lot because I was always in and out, but overall, she was super nice and accomdating!
Oh, one last thing. Getting to the airport was very easy. I got on the E train, went 1 stop up, and you can catch the airtran to JFK from there. It took me only 30 minutes max.
Host was nice and to the point. Neighborhood is so so. I happen to meet two drunks making lot of noise just outside the E train station. At the house it self it was generally nice. But two things bothered me. One was some kind of smell that was present in the house and second thing was right across my bedroom was a kitchen with washer and dryer, which made too much of noise late at night and somebody started washing early in the morning too. So there should be some restrictions as to when to use the washing machine so that other guests are not disturbed. I am very ssensitve to noise and odors.
Camilla is nice and really helpful with her guests! Unfortunately we stayed just few hours in NY, so we can't ask and use many others tips from her. :) Nice and clean room, near the E subway line. Thank you Camilla for your hospitality!
We stayed at Camilla's place overnight. The room was nice and clean. The place is only 5 minutes walk to the subway station.
All in all good host, comfy place, convenient location.
I stayed at Camillas place for two weeks during my trip to NYC for work. I work as a journalist, and I had to do some travelling. Camilla made me feel welcome right away. The room I stayed in smelled very nice and the apartment was big and comfy. Also, the neighbourhood felt safe. After a week of staying there, they opened a Starbucks at Jamaica ave. Huge plus! It was also about two mins to the subway from Camillas house.
It was very nice to talk to Camilla, and I had privacy and a good place to do some work also. Thumbs up! I would definitely stay here another time.
This was also my first Airbnb experience, and a good one for sure.
