Quinta Da Capela is a beautifully converted barn sitting on 2 acres of land in the 16th century village of Vinho in the beautiful Serra da Estrela natural park .
From Quinta Da Capela you can easily explore Portugal's largest and most beautiful national park, spend a lazy afternoon at one of the nearby river beaches, or enjoy a barbecue prepared in your outdoor kitchen, or an evening cocktail, overlooking the spacious gardens.

The space
The cozy cottage has been renovated throughout by the owner combining historical charm and character with all modern conveniences. It's a wonderful place from which to explore the amazing Serra da Estrela, or equally, to chill at home with friends and enjoy the total privacy and tranquillity of this beautiful location.

Enter to your beautifully appointed living / dining area with fully equipped modern kitchen with quality applicances. Refrigerator, oven, hob, microwave, coffee machine and everything you need to cook up a hearty meal.

Comfortable sofa and armchairs provide ample seating to enjoy a raging fire or watch a bit of TV together.

French doors lead to the outdoor dining area - perfect for drinks or dining on the patio overlooking the property's extensive gardens in the warmer months. An outdoor kitchen with barbecue is provided.

Guarda, Portugal

Vinho is one of the many historic villages in the high mountains of Portugal. Ten minutes from the beautiful city of Gouveia with it's rich history and twenty minutes from the city of Seia.
There are wonderful country walks, Roman roads and bridges, architectural treasures as well as the exceptional food and wine for which the region has become so well known including the famous Serra da Estrela cheese.

The cafe / bar, bakery and mini market are ten meters from your door providing almost everything you need including fresh bread baked right here in the village in wood fired ovens.

The exceptional restaurant of Madre de Agua is an easy walk away or ride there on our new " Felt " bicycles.

The village swimming pool and bar during the summer months is a five minute walk away as is the stunning 16th century church.

The surrounding area has many superb typical restaurants a short drive away and there are Lidl and Intermarche supermarkets within two kilometers.

Portugal's only ski resort is a 40 minute drive.

Vinho is a three hour drive from Lisbon, four hours from Madrid and two hours from both Porto and Salamanca. Coimbra is a ninety minute drive.
There are good train and bus services.
