About This Listing
A tastefully converted open plan apartment whose walls are well over 400 years old! Comprising of a kitchenette, living/bedroom and a shower room . This little hideaway has an open wrought iron balcony where one can sit and read or simply look onto a small quite stepped street . located some 10 minutes away from the main artery of public transport, which traverses the island. The apartments are situated just beneath the Upper Barrakka Gardens which were designed by and for the Knights back in the 16th century. A stone throw away from the shopping centre, albeit in a quaint area of this beautiful Baroque city cradled with 12 km of fortifications.
Will explain upon arrival.
I can only say good things about my stay. Michael met me quickly after I arrived in Valletta, oriented me to the apartment (which he kindly stocked with coffee, milk and Maltese bread) and left me to my own devices. While there some work was being done on a neighboring building; Michael was concerned about how it might impact my stay ( it didn't ) and regularly communicated with me.
The apartment itself is nicely appointed and I found everything I needed for my stay. I can recommend this host without reservation.
Had a lovely time at Michael's apartment. We arrived very late but he made sure we got to the place safely and with no hassle. The place was just as described and as in the pictures, very clean and spacious with everything you might need. We really enjoyed sitting on the little balcony for our breakfast or for a glass of wine in the evening. Michael was around the local area quite often and on hand to give us advice on travel, food or anything else we needed help with. Had a lovely time and would happily reccomend to anyone looking to stay in Valletta!
The flat was in an excellent location, with a lovely view from the balcony where we were enjoying our morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evenings. The flat was neat and tidy.
Michael and Trudy were both very helpful and considerate prior to our arrival as well as once we got to Malta. Provided with airport pick up due to late arrival, essental food as well as information and suggestions about Valetta and other Island's attractions, additionally, allowed luggage to be left in a flat after check out, as the flight out was late in the afternoon.
Michael was extremely welcoming and made our arrival convenient by ordering a taxi. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. The place was perfect – clean, comfortable and in a great location, not far from the bus station. Michael provided us with helpful info too. Great stay overall!
This was our first AirBnb trip and Michael was a very good host. The apartment is very well located, very clean, nice and cosy. Michael provided us with very good tips that made our stay even more good.
We would recommend Micheal as a host and his flat to anyone who would visit Valletta.
We had such a lovely stay in Malta at Michael's apartment! The apartment was clean and cozy and the perfect size for us. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with lovely views of Valletta. Michael even provide us with some Maltese bread and jam and fresh flowers which was a very nice touch. Michael was very kind to us - he is friendly, accommodating, and responsive and he gave us a lot of good tips. The location of the apartment is perfect for seeing Valletta and traveling around the entire country. Thank you Michael - we highly recommend your apartment to anyone visiting Malta and we hope to be back!
