Nisqually River Retreat is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath family getaway in the forested foothills below Mt. Rainier. Find the peace or adventure you crave here!

Stay cozy by the wood stove or adventure in nearby towns and trails. Hike to waterfalls, kayak the lakes, ride the train, snowshoe -- there's so much to do! Or simply walk less than 100 yards to the banks of the river and enjoy the tranquility of this home in a quiet, private setting. Plus, broadband wifi (150+ Mbps!) to work or stream. Cheers!

The space
From the entry mudroom, you're welcomed by the massive wall of windows looking out into the green forest between you and the river. The kitchen is spacious and nicely connected via a bar to that same view in the living room. The home is a split-level with only a couple steps up to a king bedroom and the twin over queen bunk bedroom with a full bathroom in between. On the opposite side is the main king bedroom with sliding glass doors out to the deck, an attached bathroom, and a loft great for meditation/yoga or working remote via a convenient fold-down desk. The bunk bedroom also has a loft perfect for older kids to play or sleep in. The living room has towering ceilings and tons of natural light all centered around the wood stove. Outside you'll find a large deck where you can listen to the river, grill, or just enjoy the stillness. Just off the deck is a large fire pit perfect for a chilly night and roasting marshmallows for s'mores. Behind the fire pit is the trail to the river. Head down the little berm, up another, then turn right and you'll be along the sandy and rocky banks of the Nisqually River where, on a clear day, you can see the mighty Mt. Rainier.

Guest access
Enjoy the whole house and grounds save for a single locked closet in the main bedroom.

Neighborhood highlights

Privated, gated and quiet neighborhood. Lots are all multiple acres so the only time you'll see neighbors is out walking the neighborhood or at the river. The home is set among massive evergreen and deciduous trees and the rush of the river can be heard anytime you're outside. If you need a walk, it's 3/4 miles to the end of the road (take a left out of our driveway) where you'll see some fun animal friends along the way.
