We live in a quiet country setting with a landscaped 3/4 acre behind the house, with 100 year old oak trees, and beautiful redwood trees. . We are out of the noisy town area where things get a little crazy. Our acreage holds a beautiful garden area, a vegetable garden, chickens....way back... a tree swing, fresh figs and blackberries, pears and apples. You never know whats ripening around here, but when it does we all often eat from the tree!
Just 4 miles from our Historic town of Napa our 3,000 square foot house is ideally situated for anything you might want to do in the Napa Valley. The closest winery from us is about 2 miles away, the factory stores are just 3 miles away. It seems to be perfect.
Our beds all have European Cotton sheets and hypo-allergenic pillows that are kept meticulously clean. There is a two-sink bathroom, internet and cable. Our large deck overlooks the back yard and is ideal for sitting quietly while enjoying wine and cheese. We have croquet and horseshoes for your enjoyment.
In the morning you will enjoy a fresh pot of coffee or tea, fresh baked bread or muffin, and if in season, fruit!
I am an artist and a concierge of the Napa Valley, and would be glad to assist with wining and dining in the Valley.
Another room could be made available for an additional cost..
Our house is close to town as well as wineries. There is plenty of parking and a place to safely store any bikes.
Come in and use the kitchen, of course! It's a large open kitchen, easy to access.
We also have a washer and dryer upon request.
Interaction with Guests
When guests come to stay we look forward to getting aquatinted. Generally we are busy, so when our paths cross, great!
Our neighborhood is country-ish. There are more trees than houses, and redwoods in the front and back of our home.
Getting around from our house is easy, take a bike or car. Buses from here....are more of a challenge.
Washer and dryer available upon request.
Sue and Jay were very warm and hospitable. They gave us helpful suggestions from which wineries to go to, which restaurants to try, and even where to go for a nice bike ride. They know the area well and helped us have a wonderful weekend with little planning on our part. They made breakfast in the morning that quite impressed my boyfriend. We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to our next trip to Napa.
very warm host and sweet home to stay during my trip with my husband. All of her family members welcomed us and provided breakfast as well. Nice to stay!
Susan and Jay were great hosts! They showed us their chickens and veggie garden, and recommended us some nice restaurants to go to. They have a beautiful home and 2 wonderful dogs. The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone.
Susan and Jay were great! Their cute house is located in a very convenient area with a few boutique vineyards nearby and a quick drive to Napa and Yountville. They were very accommodating and happy to make recommendations. We left pretty early but Susan had already gotten up and made scones - so nice! We'd definitely recommend staying with them. Thanks Susan and Jay!

Susan and Jay were very welcoming and have two very cute little dogs that were incredibly friendly. Susan helped us out BIG TIME by using her local knowledge (she actually used to be a concierge) to suggest a number of wineries in the Napa Valley area for us to try. We loved our winery tour and tasting, and the dinner we had that evening. The room was cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. They even provided a breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee and some homemade muffins.
Jay and I are business owners, but or interests lie more on the golf course and tennis courts. We love to travel, bike when we can and lately fix vintage cars and motorcycles. I am an artist and teacher of art. I am also a Napa Valley concierge and would love to help plan your trip. I love to garden, vegetables are going nicely now, and our fruit trees are starting to ripen. We have lived in Napa for 25 years and haven't regretted one day. No matter the season, it's just beautiful here.
