Large 2 Story Loft- Bedford Ave

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, United States

The Space

This large 2 story loft apartment in Williamsburg is located right on Bedford Ave, a 5 minute walk to the Bedford Ave L stop. Also conveniently located near the JMZ subway for easy access to the Lower East Side, Nolita, etc.

The fully furnished apartment is in a new building, with all modern appliances. The kitchen is great for cooking and is located on the first floor, along with the bathroom (full bath/shower), dining area and living room. The bedroom is located on the second floor. Other amenities include free WiFi and cable TV. The apartment has floor to ceiling windows and is full of light. We are located in the back of the building away from the street so the apartment is very quiet. There is a small balcony overlooking a courtyard, as well as roof access.

Please note this apartment is a loft and the upstairs bedroom does not have walls that separates it from the rest of the apartment. It is ideal for couples, but also works well if a third person sleeps on the couch.

For those new to Williamsburg, it is a bustling area full of wonderful bars and restaurants, and our apartment is near it all.

  • Scarlett's apartment was lovely. I love the decor and a collection of books she had! She was very responsive before and during our stay. Area where the flat is just the best. Williamsburg is sigh a cool area where you can find everything you need. We definitely recommend her place!

  • Scarlet's place worked out so well for my husband and I! Our son lives 3 blocks down Grand from them, but does not have tons of extra room, so we stayed at Scarlet's and brought Thanksgiving dinner with us in the car from Michigan! There were 8 of us for dinner and it worked out great. We loved the location and place was quiet and accommodating. We even lucked out and got a parking place directly in front of the place where we left our car for the whole 3 days! We may make it our home away from home if the dates work out for future visits to Brooklyn.

  • We had a great time. We ran into Charlottes fiancé by catching him a little off guard when we first walked in. He was very friendly and excited to show us around the apt. The apartment was beautiful. Everything we wanted to use worked perfectly. We stayed over July 4th and realized on the second night that the sheets were red, white, and blue coordinated. Hysterical and cute. I had an emergency meeting come up and text Charlotte to ask about an iron. She responded super quick and told me just where to find it. I loved their commitment to recycling and selectively interesting decorations. Like a old picture on the fridge of her and mark whalberg on the street. Amazing. 100% recommended without hesitation.

  • Great place to stay! My wife and I were in town for our friends' wedding in an old glass factory in Queens. Scarlet was very helpful, flexible and responsive when our travel into the city got mega-screwed up. The apartment itself was exactly what we hoped for: comfortable, clean and convenient. It was easy to get to and in the middle of everything in Williamsburg, but no street noise. I highly recommend Scarlet and her loft!

  • I had a pleasant stay here. The apartment is even more lovely than in the pictures, the location is just perfect, with acess to subway, good coffeshops and nice restaurants in a few steps. If you like to cook, this is the place. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a vast amount of excellent spices and seasonings. In cupboards and the fridge I found everything I needed to prepare the breakfast, it was very kind of Scarlet.
It was fantastic to live and get a true feel for the neighborhood. I felt just like at home. I totally recommend and hope to be back soon.

  • My wife and I were in Brooklyn for the weekend—exploring the neighborhoods, visiting friends, and playing a show with my band.

Scarlet's centrally located Williamsburg apartment was a perfect home base for our weekend plans, and much to our surprise (and delight) we found parking to be quite easy too — even in the über-trendy and popular Williamsburg.

We didn't spend much time in the apartment itself, as we were mostly out and about, but the space itself was very accommodating when needed. We used her kitchen to make breakfast twice. We played our own music through her Apple TV using "Air Tunes" and had great cellphone service and wifi — making weekend planning easy.

No real negatives of Scarlet's place — although a little clutter-y (but we could be a little particular), it did not hinder our overall experience. After all, it is a home where people actually live and there's comfort in that.

I would absolutely recommend this space to AirBbB-ers looking to explore Williamsburg and the surrounding BKNY neighborhoods.

  • What an amazing stay at Scarlet's home ! Her apartment is very nice, cosy, spacious with a really good decoration, and has a perfect location in Williamsburg. My boyfriend and I have spent 3 nights there and seemed at Scarlet's as in our own home. I really recomand this place and his host !

  • Scarlet was a wonderful host! Her apartment is charming, clean, and has all kinds of interesting books and it was full of knickknacks from her travels (my personal favorite was the paper-mache giraffe head). Another great thing about her apartment was the rooftop view of Manhattan, it was breathtaking! The neighbors in the building were also very friendly.

The location of was absolutely perfect, just a few blocks to the L train, and tons of shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. It was our first time in Williamsburg, so Scarlet graciously provided us with the best restaurants nearby and left us directions for a nearby grocery and liquor store.

This was my first visit to New York, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience with regard to accommodations.

  • I reached out to Scarlet when, at the very last minute, I learned I wouldn't be able to stay in my usual home. She was quick to respond and had her adorable apartment ready for me by the time I landed. The apartment was quiet--overlooking a lot of green yards. It was so quiet in comparison to other apartments I've stayed at on Grand--you couldn't hear any of the street noise and her location was PERFECT. The kitchen was cookable and the wireless internet was fast. I had a lovely weekend there.

I am a 28 year old, born in California and raised in NYC, who works for an international non-profit where I focus on disaster preparedness/response. As uplifting as that sounds, I also spend my time reading, travelling, going to concerts, spinning, and cooking. (The kitchen in the apartment is really nice). I live with my boyfriend in Williamsburg and we are looking for guests who are looking to have a good time and enjoy NYC, and will take good care of our place when we are gone.
