A stone's throw from the Sarphatipark , Museum square, the Rai and the Albert Cuyp market, we rent out former student residences for a short period of time, preferably for a minimum of 4 days and a maximum of one month. It involves one large bedroom.
The blue studio's is one of the three studio's in our house. The Blue studio is situated on the third floor ( 48 steps high) and faces the backcourtyard of the whole neighbourhood. Right downstairs you can see my garden with the birds and cat being busy with their lives. Blue is a private room with its own little kitchen and bathroom. It is not a fancy room but is has all the basics it needs and it is clean and tidy. In blue you'll wake up with the birds, no citynoice.
Our neighborhood is often called Cartier Latin: it is a melting pot of many cultures with many different cuisines: Dutch, Italian, Turkish, Arabian, Italian, Ethiopian, South American, Indonesian, Thai, you name it, it is all with a minutes available.
Also a great choice of supermarkets in the area open until 10 pm and after there are other shops open until after midnight.
Cinema is around the corner, as well as a bicycle rent as well as public transport, I have the cheapest public transportcarts here waiting for you, so don't buy anything expensive at the airport or station.
Also around the corner the biggest out market of Amsterdam; the Albert Cuyp where you can buy everything. Museum quarter is here, as well as the Rai.
Amsterdam is a small city, you can reach everything by feet and walking is the best way to explore the city.
Nothing will be shared with others but the staircase. The room is totally private! Only for fit people: the studio is in the attic, 48 steep steps to climb!
Interaction with Guests
Closer to the date of your arrival we will tell you where you can find the keys or who is going to hand over the keys. Dotti and her daughter live downstairs, you can ask them for assistance when available. We although appreciate each others privacy and we will not interfere.
Amsterdam is a small city, the best way to experience it is to walk. Personally I don't like tourists on bikes, we are fast and routined bike riders, usually tourist are slow and wandering around and that makes the situation extremely dangerous!
Other Things to Note
If you want to book for a shorter period than three days, this is only possible when there is that precise gab on the Calender.
We don't mind smokers as long as they open the windows for fresh air. Gas and electricity is expensive so please turn of the heating system when you're out.
Hi, I live with my daughter (20) downstairs, the studio's are on the first floor and on the top level. Since I run the studio's I look at my city in a more critical way and still I have to admit: it is beautiful, with all the history and its hidden secrets. Together with my colleague I have just written a booklet about Amsterdam in English for all foreign visitors. We are united in spots 2 b as a company now. In leisure time I like running along the river in the morning and I play tennis. I love cooking, eating, traveling, reading and listening to music. And I like talking with my visitors about Amsterdam and the rest of the world.
