Right on the sea front, this lovely, basement studio flat in St. leonards on Sea, is just a stones throw to the beach across the road. We provide a portable BBQ and two deck chairs so you can take full advantage in the summer. However, its still a lovely cosy, warm flat in the winter and perfect for a winter retreat too.
Owned by an architect and an artist, there is a lot of attention to design. Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, cosy and romantic. It also has a fabulous wetroom with underfloor heating. Facilities include an HD flat screen tv, with a subscription to sky tv, sky movies and sky HD, a dvd player, ipod docking and wifi.
The cabin style bed is pocket sprung . The duvet is feather, but non allergenic is available on request. There is also a welcome treat to greet our guests, made up of locally sourced food from our local delicatessen. (bacon, eggs, milk, butter, bread, muesli, biscuits and coffee for our coffee machine).
Parking is free and usually easy during the day, in the evenigs its possible to use the car park two minutes walk away, which is also free. However, if you dont have a car, taxis can be cheaper than the bus if there's two of you. There are also a few bike hire companies if you prefer the wonderful bike rides along the promenade, looking at the sea as you go.
There are lots of lovely cafes in nearby central St. leonards and Hastings Old Town. The Jerwood art gallery has just opened and Bexhill has the de La Warr art gallery a modernist icon. Fresh fish can be bought directly off the fishing boats. You can taste English wine in the local vineyards. Go for a walk in our country parks. Visit Dungeoness, Battle, Rye or Brighton by car.
Hastings also has numerous festivals during the year, come to old town week, the bonfire procession ( pagan version), may day and green man festival with morris dancing and bikers.
coastal currents art festival with open studios. Or best of all, (in my opinion) Pirate day, where the town dresses up as pirates!
Of course, being on the sea front you could also go for a swim.
We provide linen, towels, toiletries, basic essentials and a lovely welcome pack of goodies on arrival.
Check in is after 3pm and check out before 10 am. We can bend these rules if there is no one staying just before or after, but, normally changeovers can be tight. We ask that in the case of small breakages, it is replaced with something similar. In the case of damage that is more serious, we will discuss this with you and use the damage deposit to pay for the amount that isn't covered by our insurance. (the excess is £250)
First, great location. The flat is literally by the sea, you just cross the street and you're on the beach. If you were any closer you'd be in the water. They have beach chairs and a small bbq ready for you to take across the road.
Once inside the flat, you'll find that every little detail has been looked after. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is very clean. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is a collection of books and DVDs in case of a rainy day. It was our first trip to Hastings and it couldn't have been better.
Tina was a fantastic host, making us feel welcome straight away. She was easily contactable should we have had any questions and was flexible about arrival and departure times which allowed us to really relax. Stone's Throw is a gorgeous basement flat with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. The welcome pack was a lovely addition which helped to make our stay easy and relaxed and the information provided made finding our way around simple. In both rain and shine this was a fantastic trip!

Hi I would strongly visit a trip to hastings and a stay at Tina's flat. Literally a stone throw from a quiet part of the beach and a lovely kitchen, relaxing comfy bed and tasty welcome pack.
We had a great few nights at Christina's Place, its was homely and luxurious at the same time.
Particularity liked the attention to detail, such as the BBQ and deck chairs to sit and eat the beach.
Our stay was very pleasant. The flat is warm and confortable and ideally located, very close to the sea. The kitchen is brand new, clean and very practical for cooking a meal. We were very glad to found fresh eggs, bacon, milk and bread for breakfast which made us fill like home.
We would definitely recommend this flat.

I am an artist. I love animals, art. architecture and dancing. (nearly all beginning with A) At the moment Argentine tango is my favourite dance style, but I have done ceroc, lindy hop and salsa. Favourite destinations are Berlin and Barcelona. Although Argentina is naturally quite high on my list too.
