You’ll enjoy views of the lake from nearly every room, the sound of the waves to lull you to sleep, and even better, the ability to easily get down to the lake to stroll, lounge, or whatever else your heart desires. This home has recently been updated with brand-new luxury vinyl tile floors & carpeting and fresh paint throughout.

The home is perfect for enjoying quality time with family & friends. When it comes to dining, you can’t find anything better: The kitchen is beyond spacious, with all-new stainless appliances (even a dishwasher!), and a wrap-around counter to use for informal dining. The kitchen is open to the formal dining room, with ample space for up to 8 people.

Just off the kitchen/dining area is the jaw-dropping gem of the home that puts the “great” into the concept of a great room. You’ll find a bright & airy space with soaring two-story ceilings and large picture windows with just incredible views of the lake. The great room features a gas fireplace, two separate sitting areas with comfy sectionals, large-screen smart tv, and did we mention those incredible lake views?

The home has three bedrooms. The first has a king-size bed and is located in the upstairs lofted area in the great room. This bedroom is where you want to be to wake up to the best views of the lake. Just amazing!

The second bedroom features a queen bed, en suite bathroom with shower and a separate soaking tub, and even better: a patio door that opens up to the back yard and, of course, the lake!

The third bedroom has queen and twin beds, with a full bath just across the hall.

As an added bonus, the home has a quarter bath just off the entryway and a dedicated office space, with a large built-in, wrap-around desk. The home truly has everything you may want to have an incredible AND relaxing vacation.

The home offers the privacy of being set away from the road, but isn’t so far away from town & activities to make it a chore to get out and enjoy all the South Shore has to offer. The property is about two miles away from Port Wing, 35 minutes from Bayfield & the ferry to Madeline Island, and about an hour from Duluth.

The south shore is truly a place to get away from it all, but not so far from modern conveniences that getting food and gas feel like a chore. The guest book contains tips on all the incredible outdoor activities, local arts, and places to get groceries, dine out, grab a drink, etc. This is truly a year-round destination, whether you enjoy outdoor activities, local cuisine, art, or simply the company of friends & family in one of the most beautiful locations in the northern U.S.

The home is just a few minutes from the center of Port Wing, which has a gas station, coffee shop, general store, two bar/restaurants, and marina (not to mention our two favorite beaches!). Bayfield is about 35 minutes away, as is Washburn (where the largest grocery store is in the area). Ashland is about 45 minutes away (which has a natural foods co-op, Wal-Mart, and wider range of shops). Superior & Duluth are an hour and a bit away.
