Anne was extremely helpful and welcoming, and her apartment was in the perfect location for exploring St Remy and the greater Provence!
Anne's place was absolutely perfect and in a great location. I highly recommend it!
This is a great place to explore St Remy de Provence and surrounding areas. The flat is right in the heart of the village, but in a quiet spot with shops, galleries and everything you need just a short walk away. The flat is comfortable and clean and the shower was nice and hot! The bus service from St Remy is a great way to visit other towns, and the Sunday brocante market was wonderful.
At the welcome Anne was very enthusiastic and very willing to offer advice and also giving us the opportunity to freely contact her if we needed any guidance. The unit is well equipped but would be even better if a microwave and Wifi are available. It is centrally located and easy to get to all interesting locations. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to revisit it in some future time.
We stayed in Anne historic apt inside the walls of St Remy. We were tired from our drive & couldn't find the apt despite directions. Anne came to our rescue and had us follow her. She oriented us to her amazing place, made Fabulous recommendations for stores restaurants wine bars. She is perfectly positioned for walking to all in this charming walled town. She met us for coffee and was available by phone for questions. She is a wonderful person and hostess and definitely enhanced are stay in her beautiful region.
Anne was a fantastic host. Shortly after we arrived she popped by the apartment and took us through everything worth doing in the area. The apartment was perfectly clean and in the heart of the town centre. I only wish we had more time to explore this beautiful side of the world. Would highly recommend Les Baux and the town's market on a Wednesday morning.
The flat in St. Remy was fantastic - plenty of room, very clean and a great full kitchen and comfy beds. Location was excellent, within the pedestrian area but also with easy access and parking. Anne was very accomidating and thorough in communication.
"Very gracious host"
Thanks to Anne we had a pleasant time in St. Remy. On the morning after our arrival as we were attempting to make breakfast we realized the stove burners were not working. She happened to be walking by at that moment as we looked out the window and asked if everything was ok. She immediately came up and promised to send a repair man. In that time she gave us great recommendations on places to visit and restaurants that gave us some of the best food experiences of our trip. She was so helpful and really steered us in the right direction about our stay. We also learned she lives just across the way. The apartments location is excellent with parking just a block away for those who rent a car. Anne was quick to respond to any questions we had and was always available. However we had a couple issues with the apartment. Although it is very large and spacious some of the lights didn't work. We changed one bulb so we could have light in the entrance when we would come home at night. Also, there were some very large stains on the walls and ceilings in the kitchen area. The apt. was clean- there was no dirt or dust per se but it felt a bit dilapidated. Cracked tiles and chipped paint was no bother because its part of the charm of the old architecture and town, but these issues were exacerbated by a very moldy shower and shower curtain. There was a slight dank smell in the whole apartment, that is probably due to it's age but it gave us some headaches/allergies and was quite uncomfortable. Unfortunately we loved our host but not the apartment. It's a beautiful space that has a lot of potential but needs some updating and renovations.
Great location in center of town. Spacious older apartment. No Wi-Fi (as was indicated) and TV didn't work, but did not miss either with many other things around.
Anne's lovely flat was the perfect place for a mother traveling alone with a young daughter. It was centrally located in the charming medieval center of St. Remy. It was perfectly safe and an easy walk to restaurants, the playground, the tourist office, grocery stores, fruit and vegetables stands and my daughter's favorite: the carousel. We were surrounded by loveliness: the beauty of the town, the gorgeous clothing boutiques and of course on Wednesdays, the market was blooming practically right outside our door. There were a few minor problems with the shower and a refrigerator door that wouldn't always stay closed but these were small inconveniences compared to the peace of mind of feeling safe and sound in Anne's apartment. Anne was very helpful in matters from internet connection to the best place to buy vegetables and ice cream and responded in a timely and kind manner to all of our requests.
