Jackie Oasis is a modern, one-bedroom house (DADU) located in the surroundings of our private, shared, backyard. We call our DADU Jackie O because she’s stylish. High fir ceilings, clerestory windows, heated floors, and abundant natural light create an inviting indoor space. At the same time, the landscaped yard is a hidden urban oasis. Located just south of the beaten path, Jackie O is an ideal stay for one to two guests who are chill and looking for a cozy vacation rental in Seattle.

The space
You approach Jackie O through the main house's front yard, located on a residential street with ample parking. A landscaped path designed to roll wheely luggage easily takes you back to the DADU.

The front porch at the entrance has a slight step-up and a numeric lock for self-check-in. The DADU has a fully equipped kitchen, and not to be remiss in our duties as Seattle hosts, we provide local coffee beans, a grinder, french press, coffee maker, sugar, cream and mugs!

The kitchen is a comfortable place to prepare meals and eat. The island's electrical outlets provide a convenient place to work. The living area is a cozy den with a large wall-to-wall sofa easily modulated into a full-sized bed. Picturesque windows in the bedroom have a garden view from the plush Queen-Sized Bed.

The bathroom has a tub, shower, and heated floors.

You can also hook up to some swanky tech at Jackie O, including in-wall, Blue Tooth speakers, speedy-private wifi, a smart tv, and bedside USB ports. The Jackie Oasis online welcome guide, which we'll share before your arrival, includes a DADU operating manual and Seattle insider tips.

We invite guests to enjoy the shared outdoor space directly behind the main house, including the dining area and propane firepit.

Other things to note
The DADU is close to the main house, but mini blinds are there for privacy and blocking out light. (Hanging the blinds is in process, and why the photos don't show them)

Our backyard is private and quiet but not without urban ambiance. You will likely hear yard work, neighbors, pets, the occasional rooster, distant car/airplane traffic, and potentially some minor construction. However, we understand that what sounds like crickets to us may not be that for all.

PLEASE READ before booking:

For convenience, we have INSTANT BOOK turned on; however, to help determine if Jackie O is a good match we ask for the following before we confirm your request.

1. Reviews from other hosts. We may make an exception if it goes without saying why we require this and if you proactively communicate with us.

2. We will ask about who your fellow traveler is if you are booking for two people.

3. We are more likely to accept requests from guests who have provided “about” information on their Air BnB profile.

4. You will likely be greeted by your host upon arrival. I am typically nearby if you need assistance or have questions.

The vacation rental has a no-pet policy. However, two terrier-looking mutts live on the property. They will probably make their presence known during your stay via the occasional bark or squirrel chase. We do our best to keep them from mingling, but they like to explore, so please be aware there are pets on the property, and be mindful to shut the front and side gates behind you.

South Park is a multicultural community with a warm, neighborly vibe. It has a reputation for exuberant celebrations of the 4th of July and Mexican Independence Day, as well as other events throughout the year that celebrate diversity. In addition, South Park has walking and bike trails, a skate park, a marina on Seattle’s only river, and a working farm just three blocks from Jackie O.

Nearby you can explore a world-famous flight museum, eat a nationally renowned burger, or feast on authentic
comfort food from a Mexican or Mediterranean food truck. In addition, you can drink wine and bring home a bottle from not just one but two local wine bars. The Jackie O Welcome Guide will expound on essential local spots, like coffee, pizza, etc., within strolling distance.

South Park is in the heart of Seattle’s southern edge and surrounded by other off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods like Georgetown, White Center, West Seattle, and Burien.

We are also about 15 minutes from T-mobile Park & Lumen Field.
