The lovingly updated Casa del Sol #4 is located on a gorgeous, eco-conscious property situated steps from the pristine waters of Playas Penca and Potrero. It offers a fabulous pool, lush greenery, and great options for both sun & shade. Our second-storey unit is a fully-appointed 1,100 sq ft with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It has an open living/dining area, gourmet kitchen with granite counters, jacuzzi tub, AC, ensuite laundry! Includes concierge service & 2x 30-min massages—our gift to you!
The space
The unit is a short stroll from downtown Potrero, a charming Costa Rican village with a traditional church and soccer field in the center. Casa del Sol thus enjoys the best of both worlds: a tranquil location that feels secluded yet offers convenient access to all the Gold Coast’s vibrant towns, amenities and activities. There are several restaurants and grocery stores within a 5-minute walk of our gates. Not to mention two incredible beaches: Playa Penca and Playa Potrero.
You will love the elegant tropical colonial design, with red tile roofs and stucco finish. The gardens are full of tropical greenery, with a swimming pool in the center. A gated terrace just above ground level, overlooking the pool, is furnished with a dining table and chairs where you can enjoy the view while having lunch or drinks.
The nearest beach, Playa Penca, is a secluded beauty where crowds are rare. And just around a headland is another beach, Playa Potrero, that stretches all the way to the world-class marina now open in Flamingo.
Potrero and its southern neighbor Surfside are full of restaurants, bars, shops and tour companies. Many expats have made this their permanent home, including a large number of Canadians, Americans and Italians.
Potrero is centrally located along a picturesque, paved coastal highway that leads from Las Catalinas in the north to Huacas in the south. There’s also a newly paved road called the Monkey Trail that leads from Potrero to the outskirts of Playas del Coco and cuts the travel time to Guanacaste airport by 15 minutes.
There’s no shortage of adventure tours offered nearby, including fishing, scuba diving, sailing and sunset cruises. You can also go ziplining, rent an ATV, ride a horse, visit an animal rescue center, and much more.
