Very comfortable! And the host is very considerate!
Walter and Susan are wonderful hosts. I feel very at home when I stay there. I have been with them twice and I plan to see them again in March.
Susan and Walter are "cool" hosts. I stay there for 2 nights. It is a old house, but with a good atmosphere. The bedroom is very small, but perfect for one person. I would stay there again. (Sorry my English, I'm German!)
I had such a wonderful experience here. Wally and Susan are very kind and welcoming. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is staying in the Philly area. And Susan's granola--WOW.
Walter and Susan were great hosts! They couldn't have been friendlier if they tried. I had a delicious breakfast each day (including home-made granola) and they were more than happy to provide directions, give suggestions (restaurants, etc.). Unfortunately I didn't get very much time to hang out with them/talk to them as my trip was primarily to visit family. Would definitely recommend Walter and Susan and hope to see them again.
I enjoyed staying with Walter and Susan very much. They were very welcoming and helpful, and I hope to stay with them again.
Walter and Susan are great host who has made my first trip to Philly a really sweet one! The location is a nice neighbourhood and close to major pharmacy and grocery stores as well as convenient bus transfers to downtown. The room is clean, cozy and warm totally feels like home. And Bella, the cat, is a sweetheart! I would definitely come back next time!!
My stay at this charming 130-yr-old house made my visit in Philly very special. Roxborough is like a slice of northern Ireland stuck in Philly...windy & hilly cobblestone streets with steeples everywhere...
Walter, Susan, and Bella (the house cat who said HI every morning while i was eating breakfast!) made me very welcomed. I miss Philly and I will come visit again and will definitely stay here again!!
Walter & Susan were lovely, they had lots of great info of things to do and places to go. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here
Wally and Susan are great hosts. I stayed in the smaller room of their Jamestown street house.
Susan and Wally have a busy schedule but that does not come in the way of them responding to your needs. Susan took time to tell me about the house the neighborhood-is eclectic in her interests and genuinely interested in the world around. Their kitchen overlooking the small yet peaceful garden will make you forget that you are in the middle of the busy city. First time had to pay separate cleaning fees on Airbnb-but still a deal.
