About this listing
A comfortable room in a best location. Clean, safe, easy to use and it makes you to rest a bit in this huge city. Having sunshine morning. A private balcony having looking and pretty and nice smelling honeysuckle.
There is a lot sunshine and fresh air from bosphorous with the smells of flowers in balcony.
The building is located in an elegant street with sea view and 5-10 minutes to Taksim Square and Istiklal Street by walking. It is an historical Greek style building with high ceilings, wooden floors and a colonage. The room is furnished with a single bed, a wardrobe, a desk and a cupboard for books. It takes direct sunlight and luminous all the day and also has a very nice individual balcony. There is a large shared living room in the flat. We have all the necessary furniture, equipment and services including wireless ADSL, hot water, washing machine and fridge etc. The flat is well lightened and airy almost whole day, there is no problem with moisture and etc. The front side looks at the sea view street and the other side looks at the closed garden having a big tree with fruits.
I also renewed the bathroom. Now it has quite white and blue colors and it is more clean and fresh.
You can use the kitchen easliy by helping yourself. everthing is working and ready to cook meal or hot drinks.
You can walk through Taksim square in 10 minutes as well as through the seaside and ferry stations. Both directions have also offers subway connection and public bus-stops. The area is safe and clean. You can find a quiet space here even its not far from the centers. On the other hand 24 hours open restaurant and cafes can be found around the flat but mostly they are for wine and dine. Cihangir also has historical places and most of the buildings are helenistic and coloured. Sometimes just walking in these small streets can be a better activity for the day. it s possible to find lots of art galleries, ancient shops, domestic and international restaurants, fast foods, cafes and night life. The special side of the Cihangir is that most of these places are hidden in apartments back sides. They do not attract theirself for tourists by flickering lihgts or and ather kind of advertisements. They are cozy and aimed to best service for their guest.
From the Aırports:
Cab: 45 -50 TRL from Ataturk and 80-90 TRL from Sabiha Gökçen.
Havatas Shuttle to Taksım Square (last stop): 10 TL from Atatük and 13-15 TL from Sabiha Gökçen
From the Havatas shuttle walk towards Taksim Squre by heading right onto Cumhuriyet Street. Faros Cafe will be on your right and Gezi Park will be on your left. Head towards Ataturk Statue about 800m from the bus stop. İstiklal street is on your right (pedestrian walkway only). Sıraselviler street (cars allowed) is on your left. You will pass Bambi Cafe and ING Bank on your left. From here walk about 1km down Sıraselviler. It will become Defterdar Yokuşu at the second intersectıon (Kardesler kebap cafe). Pass this intersection and go left onto the first street-Kasatura street. Go right onto Tüfekçi Salih.
From the main bus station, please ask your bus company for their free shuttle to Taksim Square. Probably they have it. If not, you can take bus to Taksim square.
I do not suggest you to use subway or tram to come here because of the distances between interchange stations and the steep walk here from the nearest tram station (Tophane).
Other Things to Note
The flat has three rooms. 2 of them are available for booking. The orange room looks lovely and quiet gardenside and takes sunshine after evening. The blue room looks street side and it takes morning sunshine. The street is so small and goes to seaside. Some rush seasons (Summer season) sometimes people who are walking through the street are talking a bit louder. On the other hand its not a busy street, easy to walk and watch the sea.
