About this listing
Our charming duplex apartment with exposed wooden beems has a typical parisian feeling. There is a master bedroom and in the open space there is a sofa convertible to a double bed. Wifi, fully equipped kitchen and central location 3 mins from metro
Bright, charming duplex apartment at the fourth and fifth floor of a 19th century building. The apartment is spacious (72 square meters) and touched by an amazing light.
Upstairs you will find an openspace with a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, a microwave and an oven). Also a sofa (convertible to a double bed) an electronic piano, and a table seating 4 to 6 people. There are also 2 desks placed in two different areas of the open space.
Downstairs: the master bedroom (with a french-sized double bed) and a large bathroom with washing machine, a bidet and a sizable bathtub (170x75 cm). There is a WC on both floors. Floors are wooden throughout the whole apartment except kitchen and WCs.
There is high-speed wireless internet connection. The building has no lift or elevator. I provide bed linens and towels for each guest.
Despite being really central the street is very quiet, few cars are allowed to go through. The apartment being on the last two floors of the building you will not be disturbed by any noise.
Guests will have access to everything in the house.
Interaction with Guests
Guests will have the sole use of the apartment. I am always reacheable in case they need something.
The 10th arrondissement is blossoming!
I love living in the right bank, I think that it is where today most of the creative energy flows in the city.
The location of the apartment is amazing for living like a true parisian: you can shop at the covered market down the road for fresh ingredients, buy a bouquet of flowers from the talented flower stylist just in front of the house or head to a cosy bar nearby.
If you are into spirits and nightlife we happen to be surrounded by amazing bars where stellar bartenders put care and proud in serving you the best possible drink from classic to quirky.
The hype and lively Saint Martin Canal is a 10 min walking stroll. It is a really great area day and night, and one of the few in paris where you can feel a sense of community.
If you want to head south the Louvre and the spectacular Tuileries are just 25 minutes walking away. Don't feel like ? The closest subway station is just 3 minutes away and from metro stop Poissonniere or gare de l'est you can reach Montmartre, The Eiffel Tower, Musee D'Orsay and so many other locations really fast.
The apartment is conveniently located at
- less than 5 min from Gare de l’est station and both metro stations Gare de l'est (lines 4, 5, 7) and Poissonniere (line 7).
- it is only 10 min walking distance from Gare du nord station and metro/RER stop (lines RER B, RER D, 4,5)
- both Orly airport and Charles de Gaulle airport are really convenient being directly on RER B.
Other Things to Note
This is the apartment where I live with my husband, an house full of strange objects coming from all over the world, books, spices. Everything touched by the amazing light. Every detail tells a story. Our apartment is spacious and beautiful. We travel with airbnb ourselves and we love the airbnb spirit. We like to host people from around the world, hoping that in our home they will create memories as pleasant as ours.
Stay in my home as if it was yours and I'll be happy.
If you let me know in which station/airport you'll arrive I will suggest you the best way to reach the apartment. For the check- in we try to be really flexible. We will arrange a meeting after your booking and there will be someone waiting for you.
Please note that if you need to check in late (after 20.00) you'll be required to pay a 25 euros fee.
We kindly ask you to dispose of the garbage.
We also ask you not to leave dirty dishes in the sink.
About the Host, Chiara
I like tea, good books, food, photography, fine things and unexpected trips. New York stole a piece of my heart and London has been a dream since I was a little girl. I would never have imagined though that I would end up living in the city of lights but here it is, I'm a parisienne now :)
