About this listing
Lovely 1br flat with a balcony over Paris
This is a very bright and calm flat with 1 bedroom and a large double living-room. It is a typical parisian flat with old and beautiful wooden floor and high ceiling. It is located on the last floor of a 1920's building in a dead end so you are never bothered with cars and there is a clear view on Paris' roofs. There is no elevator but it's a good way to burn the croissants you will have during your stay!
The bedroom is very pleasant with a queen-size bed and a big cupboard for your clothes.
There is a small bathroom (with a small bathtub!) and separate toilets.
The kitchen is almost new and super clean, with all the appliances you could need and a washing machine.
Then there is the best part of the flat: a very big double living room (almost 30 square meters) with big windows than illuminate the whole flat and an opening toward a lovely balcony. The balcony is big enough for you to have breakfast or a drink over Paris'roofs with is, believe me, an experience you don't want to miss!
There is a comfortable foldable couch in the living room if you're a company of more than 2.
The neighborhood is very pleasant as well: you're at Les Gobelins which means you're literally 5 minutes away from the lovely rue Mouffetard, its street market, and its amazing bakeries, very close to the jardin des Plantes, jardin du Luxembourg and quartier latin as well! It is one of the best locations in town to feel close to everything without living in a too crowded and noisy area.
There are plenty of buses just down the flat () and metro lines (5,6,7) that would bring you everywhere you need but there are also nice restaurants, bars, bakeries in the area of the flat. Don't hesitate to ask me for advice!
To conclude, this flat is calm, big and bright with a lovely balcony: what else would you want for an amazing stay in Paris?
Interaction with guests
You are close to 3 metro lines (5, 6, 7) and a lot of buses which means you can get anywhere in the city in less than 30 min!
It is a very nice and calm neighborhood. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, exquisite boulangeries (bread stores), as you can see on the guide book. It is very conveniently located to get around the city (direct bus and metro to the Eiffel tower, for instance) and even if you're not in the busiest and noisiest part of the center, you can also walk to parks or touristy places like the Panthéon!
Other things to note
This is my home, where I live when I'm not renting it so please make yourself at home but treat it as if you would treat yours!
The apartment is located in an old building - which gives it a lot of charm! - consequently even if it is cleaned very cautiously before each arrival, it will never look as clean as a new building/apartment!
You can use books, CDs, DVDs but please put them back where they were before you leave.
Please do not organize a party at the apartment.
Please be respectful of the neighbors.
When you leave, please leave the apartment clean and tidy and throw the garbage in the bin located in the little courtyard on your left when you go down the stairs!
Thank you very much!

I am a philosophy PhD student in Paris. I rent my flat when I travel or to fund my trips. I love the idea people could travel comfortably in living in my flat and could discover a genuine Paris, a little off the touristy tracks. Thanks to Airbnb, I kind of have the feeling of travelling just through welcoming people from all around the world!
