Hello I have a lovely four bedroom house in Venice, on a quite street off Rose Avenue. Its a wonderfully quiet residential area, close enough to the main throng of Venice and Santa Monica but a nice quiet place to come back to .
The bedroom is a nice size with a queen size bed in it.
I have TV, high speed internet and cable, washer/dryer and a nice full kitchen.
It's in a great area, right next to the Penmar Golf course, and an easy ten minute Bike ride to the beach, Abbot Kinney, Main Street and Santa Monica which are packed full of great restaurants and bars.
There is street parking. Its a fantastic house to stay in with a lovely big garden, open fire ( Very groovy seventies fireplace) and outdoor dining. However ~I do have two resident cats, so if you are allergic - this is not the place for you.
Also near by :
The Hammer Museum
Werner Hertzog's favourite antiquarian museum :
The museum of Jurassic Technology
A quick 20 min ( not in traffic ! ) ride up the 10 freeway into Hollywood will find you the wonderful Los Angeles County Museum of Art
And further into Down Town
The Walt Disney Concert Hall:
and The Museum of contemporary Art: (website hidden)
There are Buses on Lincoln Blvd which will take you to Santa Monica and LAX. If beach swimming doesn't suit then there is a great swimming pool nearby.

** Apple TV
** Two bikes ( when available)
** body boards
- Eat-in kitchen

Everything ! Its calm and leafy - with tennis courts and a golf course near by. Perfectly situated for an easy bike ride or car journey to the beaches .. Venice, Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey in the other direction. Whole foods is just down the road, together with Cafe Gratitude and other restaurants on Rose Avenue.
There are buses on Venice Blvd ( about a ten min walk) and on Lincoln Blvd to get into Santa Monica - if you ask me nicely I may give you a lift.. . But it is best to have a car or a bike here.
No shoes in the house please! Its all common sense... - but If you use the Kitchen - please clean up after yourself. Wipe down the cooker and sides and Please recycle all plastic and paper stuff in the recycling bin ... and take any food or clothes items away with you when you leave thank you! Please don't leave any food behind.. ! Thank you!
Sarah was a great host, seemed like a pro at it without the dreary formalities a hotel would have. Place was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located :)
Sarah is a gracious host that respects your privacy, but still takes the time to sit down and talk if she has it.
Her house is nice and calm, and personal.
My staying at Sarah's was just perfect. If you're looking for a friendly and funky house to stay in Los Angeles and enjoy everything that the city has to offer, you are at the right place. You can enjoy your breakfast on the garden, and walk to Venice beach soaking up the sun for the day. Her house is perfectly located ! I recommend this house for your holidays in Los Angeles, and Sarah is the perfect host, very friendly and outgoing. Thank you for everything Sarah. Take care !!! Best.
Sarah makes sure you're comfortable and feel at home during your stay and the 8 days felt like 8 weeks. My bedroom was quiet, the bed was comfortable and I could go my own way. And the garden was terrific. Lot of life going on in the house; cats, dogs, room mates but most of all a good vibe. I will come back for sure!
It was my pleasure to stay in Sarah's house. It was my first time using airbnb and it was great!! My bedroom was very nice and clean and the big bed very convenient. The other guests were all very friendly and helpful. Her way direction was easy access and no problem getting there. I could lend her bike and it was a 15 minutes ride to the Venice beach, all was perfect!! I like her garden and her pets. Sarah was very uncomplicated and cool. Thank you Sarah for this great stay!! I highly recommend it and I want to come back ;)
I had a very pleasant stay at Sarah's place. Her directions were spot on, easy access, and no problem getting there. My room was very clean as was shared bathroom. I did not use shared space (house) because I was out most of the time. I did dig her friendly cats and sweet dogs. A cool vibe.
I've used airbnb for many travels in the past (new account) and have never experienced any issues. I received an email from Sarah day prior which was kind of her, and I told her when I was flying in and when I would be in the area. I also let her know I would text her an hour before checking in. The day I arrived I was asked to go to a cafe and wait until I received a call because her floors were being worked on. I was a little disappointed because I had already gone to a cafe to wait around for check-in as the time was listed at 2 pm. It was already 4PM and I didn't want to hang out with all of my luggage in a car while floors were being finished. I wish she would have notified me of this issue the day prior so I could make alternative arrangements. Another guest had stated that she knew her floors were being worked on as well so why wasn't that relayed prior? The next day I have plans to visit family, and I left the key with her just in case I decided to stay with family, and I explicitly expressed that I am leaving the key with you in case I don't come back, but please keep my room just in case...Needless to say, after the visit with the family I texted Sarah and let her know we were on our way back and was told that she had already cleaned out my room because when guest give keys back they generally don't come back. I ended up just staying in a hotel for the rest of my trip because I was not satisfied. I wish there was an way to get a refund.
Yes not a great experience for me either. Check in is after 4pm... but I'm very flexible on that usually. Sadly it was a one off thing with the floor - the workmen finished a bit late, just after check in.... Sometimes these things happen... I can't defend that. She stayed one night and checked out giving me back the key - telling me she was off to stay with her dad for the rest of her stay. She didn't ask me to keep the room - or I wouldn't have taken back the key there would be no point. And then I get a text saying she wanted to come back. It was all really confusing ... and her texts were very over the top - not a great experience.
