Large guest bedroom in a classic San Francisco Victorian "railroad" flat in the heart of San Francisco's Alamo Square /NOPA neighborhood.
Large Victorian "railroad" flat in San Francisco's iconic Alamo Square neighborhood, right in the heart of the City. Large private room for rent with a queen-size bed.
Half block from bustling cafes and restaurants along Divisadero Corridor. Flat has 2.5 bathrooms, washer/dryer, large open-plan entertainment area (updated eat-in kitchen opens onto large living room, which in turn opens onto sunny private patio and landscaped back garden), decorative fireplaces, high ceilings, free wifi, full entertainment center with big screen HD TV with cable. Walking distance to Golden Gate Park, the Haight-Ashbury, Fillmore District, Japantown, and the Castro, short bus ride to Civic Center, Financial District and the Mission District (half a block from the No. 5 MUNI bus stops), free on-street parking.
(Note that the two bedrooms are separated by sliding wood pocket doors -- what was once the traditional "double parlor" of the Victorian era.)
We also have a cat, so cat allergy sufferers may not be a good fit.
Seeking conscientious, considerate, non-smokers who care for the homes they stay in. (This is a home, not a place that permanently operates as a B&B.)
Kitchen, bathrooms, wireless internet, back garden, cable TV.
Interaction with Guests
Lively, popular "destination" neighborhood for its restaurants and bars; lots of beautiful Victorian architecture; central location; proximity to Alamo Square Park and Golden Gate Park.
Yes. The No. 5 and No. 24 Muni bus route stops are less than half a block away.
Other Things to Note
A cat lives here.
No smoking indoors and be nice to the cat.
What a pleasure staying here! Beautiful place, very clean, lovely neighborhood, and easy access to public transportation. Michelle was quick to respond, very friendly and accommodating. Was also great to play with Donnie, the best cat ever... !
Michelle and Mary were yery nice. As I was out of house very often, and they both went to work, we did not meet too often, but when I met them they were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is very nice, Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies are literally around the Corner. Also many Cafés and Restaurants at Divisadero.
I had two rooms for myself in a nice Vicorian building. Can recommend the experience!
Yes the description of the flat and area was very accurate and we were made feel most welcome and private. The bedroom was very comfortable and with the adjoining sitting room it was spacious. The shower is also very clean and new!
We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful home in Alamo Square. Bedroom was spacious with adjoining room. Michelle was very welcoming and gracious. Loved this place.
Really nice house in a great location. The MUNI line 5 stops right on the corner and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby.
The house has plenty of room, a really nice kitchen/living room/backyard and two toilets! The second shower wasn't ready yet, but once it is, this will be even better for a big group.
Also, Donny the cat was a great companion: friendly and nice without being cloying and pushy.
Would totally stay there again.
