The bed could use a substantial upgrade, it was really uncomfortable to sleep in. It is less secluded than photographed. There are a total of 4 cabins located in close proximity to each other, and there is less room in the cabin than anticipated. Wendy and Craig were great to communicate with however there was a lot of signage in the cabin about the rules of the property which we found distracting from our stay.

Response from Wendy & Craig:
I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us, as you did not express any concerns throughout your stay, even when I checked in with you to make sure everything was good. The bed is only a few years old and this is the first complaint I have ever heard about it. Thanks for your input, I will give it consideration. We never say that the cabin is secluded. Couple's Corner is on the far end of the row, away from the other cabins and in proximity to the trails on the property. Other guests seem to enjoy the privacy they have sitting on the back deck and the separation from the other cabins. The signage is just friendly reminders to turn off the lights, keep the shower curtain in the shower (to not flood the floor with water), not put things down the toilet (other than TP) and not put soap in the jetted Jacuzzi. These signs are in place because these are things we have had to deal with multiple times...and unfortunately are still issues from time to time. I feel that your negativity in this review is directly related to the fact that we would not give you a last minute refund on your last night stay (on the 4th of July holiday) so that you could leave a day early to go to Lexington for a whisky tour. I do not know of any cabin company that would let you check out early on the fourth of July, giving you a full refund and losing money with their business. Best wishes on your future travels and finding what you need. Sorry we could not meet your expectations.

This place is perfect for a quick couples retreat in beautiful Kentucky. The cabin is cozy and has everything you could ever need. Falling asleep to the rain hitting the roof was one of the most peaceful things I have ever experienced! We loved the cabin and it was a mini home away from home for us. We hope to be back soon!

We got frequent updates and well detailed maps to find the cabin. There was a great binder of all the nearby restaurants and plenty of resources on the trails we could access. I would recommend this cabin to anyone traveling to the Red River Gorge area.
