Comfortable, clean and quiet private guest room and full bath in a beautiful craftsman bungalow home located in the Highland neighborhood of Denver. Near a variety of great restaurants, public transit and downtown Denver.

The space

A private bedroom and full bathroom (tub with shower) on the main level of a two-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully furnished classic craftsman bungalow home. The bedroom is complete with a comfortable queen bed, closet, armoire, dresser, ceiling fan, bathrobes and basic cable TV. You will have privacy from other areas on the main level of the home.

My home is located in the Highland neighborhood in northwest Denver proper and near a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, public transit and downtown Denver.

Help yourself to a basket of snacks as well as coffee or tea. My home is a very quiet and relaxed environment. You will have access to the main floor guest room and bathroom, kitchen, living and dining rooms. As well as the front porch and back yard. I interact with guests as they see fit. I'm available to answer questions and offer suggestions. Feel free to call or text me.

Amenities include high-speed wireless internet, wireless laser printer/scanner, cable tv, fenced back yard, front porch with seating, full kitchen with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, iron and ironing board, washer and dryer, street parking, and a great selection of books for your reading pleasure. The neighborhood is quiet with residents riding bikes, walking their pets and kids in strollers. You will have a short walk to a variety of great restaurants for coffee/breakfast, lunch and dinner and a short bike ride to off road city bike paths. There is a convenience store and liquor store within a few blocks and a dry cleaner, Walgreens pharmacy, Sprouts, Kroeger and Safeway grocery stores within a short drive. A Whole Foods store is nearby in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There are a number of great coffee shops, restaurants and pubs in the immediate and surrounding neighborhoods. My home is near downtown Denver, the Denver Convention Center complex, Lower Downtown (LoDo), Coors Field for major league baseball, Pepsi Center for NHL and NBA action, Sports Authority Field for NFL action and a variety of restaurants, arts, movie theaters and retail. Bus and taxi service are available for transportation to downtown Denver, easy access to Interstate 25 and Interstate 70. You can take UberX, a taxi or rent a car at Denver International Airport for the 24 mile or 30 minute drive to my home. The UberX service is the most economical option, Uber Black Car is a premium service and Uber SUV is the deluxe service. For smartphone users Uber is a free app that gives you access to terrific local transportation options. It is less expensive than a local taxi, much more reliable and arrives on time. Try Uber, you'll love it!

In the winter and during ski season, easy access to Interstate 70 West will get you to Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Winter Park/Mary Jane ski areas in 1 hour plus. For Copper Mountain, 90 minutes and for Vail/Beaver Creek, 2 hours. To get to Aspen plan on about 4 hours and Steamboat Springs 3 plus hours.

Hello! I personally greet and welcome guests in my home. Please call or text with the specific time you will arrive. If you have a car, you are welcome to park on the street in front of my home. Please respect privacy and noise levels. No smoking or drugs are allowed inside or outside of the home. Meals and individual food items are not provided however you are welcome to purchase food, store it and prepare it in the kitchen. Personal toiletries are not provided however I do provide bar soap, fresh clean sheets and bath towels. What a beautiful home! We had a short but great stay at Tom's. He had tons of great suggestions for us and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable - you can tell that he sincerely cares about his guests. His home is also walkable to great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Would highly recommend!

The house was an amazing stay. Very comfortable bed and spacious first floor space to spread out your belongings and relax at the end of the day or sit and enjoy a cup of coffee as you start the morning. The neighborhood was beautifully kept and very walkable to a variety of restaurants and bars. Tom was extremely helpful and offered great advice and experience about living in the Denver area.

Tom is a legend. Super cool guy who is very accommodating. He gave clear instructions, prints out a personal instruction sheet for each guest (had my name on it and everything), and helpful. He made sure to remind me of the altitude effects and provided me with a water bottle to use throughout my stay. The neighborhood is safe and close to downtown. You can easily catch a bus Lyft. Or you can walk as I did. Tom even has snacks for you in your room. What really made this trip special is that Tom went the extra mile (no pun intended) with the water bottle, staying up and helping with my laundry, and overall being helpful. I would highly recommend staying with Tom if you are visiting Denver.

We would highly recommend Tom's home in Highland. It's ideally located for eating out, sightseeing, biking, walking, and generally exploring Denver. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and tree lined. Communications were quick and seamless, and the classic bungalow home is charming, warm, and comfortable. We appreciated being able to use the fridge and the kitchen, and the queen bed was just right! We'd definitely enjoy staying with Tom again in the future.
