My home is close to downtown Denver, the Denver Convention Center complex, Lower Downtown (LoDo), Coors Field for major league baseball, Pepsi Center for NHL and NBA action, Sports Authority Field for NFL action and a variety of restaurants, arts, movie theaters and retail. Bus and taxi service are available for transportation to downtown Denver, easy access to Interstate 25 and Interstate 70. You can take UberX, a taxi or rent a car at Denver International Airport for the 24 mile or 30 minute drive to my home. The UberX service is the most economical option, Uber Black Car is a premium service and Uber SUV is the deluxe service. For smartphone users Uber is a free app that gives you access to terrific local transportation options. It is less expensive than a local taxi, much more reliable and arrives on time. Try Uber, you'll love it!
In the winter and during ski season, easy access to Interstate 70 West will get you to Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Winter Park/Mary Jane ski areas in 1 hour plus. For Copper Mountain, 90 minutes and for Vail/Beaver Creek, 2 hours. To get to Aspen plan on about 4 hours and Steamboat Springs 3 plus hours.
The neighborhood is quiet with residents riding bikes, walking their pets and kids in strollers. You will have a short walk to a variety of great restaurants for coffee/breakfast, lunch and dinner and a short bike ride to off road city bike paths. There is a convenience store and liquor store within a few blocks and a dry cleaner, Walgreens pharmacy, Sprouts, Kroeger and Safeway grocery stores within a short drive. A Whole Foods store is nearby in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. There are a number of great coffee shops, restaurants and pubs in the immediate and surrounding neighborhoods. Feel free to view the Guidebook I've assembled. It contains many of the local eateries and watering holes. The link is located on my Airbnb profile page in the upper right hand corner. Tom's place was great -- clean, quiet, and convenient. Tom was very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!
Thank you, Tom, for more than terrific accommodations and being immediately available by text!Immaculate, comfortable mattress, private, spanking clean bathroom, walk or Uber to downtown or nosh in lovely neighborhood restaurants! Fresh coffee brewed before I wake up... Wish we could have met! This is my go to place to stay in Denver....Namaste and thank you for your beautiful hospitality!
Beautiful home in a great location! The bed was very comfortable and Tom made me feel welcomed. He is thoughtful and well organized (and he makes terrific coffee). I highly recommend.
Tom is a very good host. He welcomed me and made my stay very comfortable by explaining all needed stuff. he is very good communicater.
Had a perfect stay at Tom's place! The suite felt private and was well appointed. He was a fantastic host - he accommodated my late arrival and was fast to answer all my questions. Next time I'm in Denver, I'm staying there again!
Tom was an excellent host. His home was very comfortable, neat and clean. Tom was there to meet us when we arrived and, at our suggestion, joined us for a glass of wine. Although we saw him occasionally the next day, we felt comfortable with the use of the entire first floor of his beautiful home. His dog, Tag, was very sweet and friendly.
Staying with Tom and Tag (his pet golden Lab) was great-- I got exactly what I expected and needed. Tom's house is early 20th century, and kept in great shape. I had plenty of privacy, but also used the main dining room area to get some work done. The convenience store and bus stop were really close, just as advertised. A 10-15 min. ride to the Colorado Convention Center and nearby hotels.
Denver is a great town to visit in general, although the public transportation is rather old-fashioned (e.g., getting exact change for the bus is a pain). On the other hand, Uber makes it easy to get a ride anytime, if you budget in local transportation costs. But if I come back to Denver, I'd choose staying in the Highland area over paying extra bucks for a downtown hotel room.

Hello! I'm an easy going professional with a real passion for life! Originally from Minnesota, I love to share my home with travelers and guests. While I have lost my upper midwest accent I always welcome guests with warm and genuine hospitality. In the summer months, I stay active by running, biking, camping and hiking. In the winter, I'm active with down hill skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating. I keep life simple yet meaningful by making a difference every day in my work and in the lives of others. I really enjoy big, bold red wines, strong coffee, grilled foods and ice cream! My style of hosting guests is personable, casual, respectful, informative and fun. I'm from a family of 11, yes I have 10 siblings - 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Some of my favorite travel destinations are the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Australia, and the Upper Midwest. I tread lightly on the environment and surroundings, mindful of my carbon footprint.
