My home is a beautiful craftsman bungalow and located in the Highland neighborhood of Denver proper. Close to award winning restaurants, coffee shops, city attractions, an REI flagship store, parks, off street bike paths and downtown Denver.

The Space

A private, quiet bedroom and full bathroom (bathtub with shower) on the main level of a two-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath fully furnished classic craftsman bungalow home. The bedroom is complete with a comfortable queen bed, closet, armoire, dresser, ceiling fan, comfy bathrobes and TV. You will have complete privacy from other areas on the main level of the home. My home is located in the Highland neighborhood in northwest Denver proper and very close to award winning restaurants, coffee shops, retail, parks, off street bike paths and downtown Denver.

Amenities include high-speed wireless internet, wireless laser printer/scanner, cable tv, fenced back yard with patio seating, front porch with seating, full kitchen with dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, iron and ironing board, washer and dryer, on and off street parking, and a great selection of books for your reading pleasure. Shared common areas - kitchen, living and dining room. Upon request I will provide fresh-brewed coffee and or a variety of tea. For additional amenities please click on the Amenities tab above. Please click on the Guidebook link next to the Reviews on the upper right part of this page for local restaurants, coffee, grocery, dry cleaners and other establishments you may need access to during your stay. Meals and food items are not included but you are welcome to buy groceries and use the kitchen to prepare your own meals. If this is your first experience as a Airbnb guest please be sure to read the house rules by clicking on the tab above. For available dates, please click on the Calendar tab above the photo of the front my home. Also, click on the Map tab for a general idea of my location or Street View tab for a view of the immediate neighborhood.

Close to downtown Denver, the Denver Convention Center complex, Lower Downtown (LoDo), Coors Field for major league baseball, Pepsi Center for NHL and NBA action, Sports Authority Field for NFL action and a variety of restaurants, arts, movie theaters and retail. Bus and taxi service are available for transportation to downtown Denver, easy access to Interstate 25 and Interstate 70. You can take a taxi or rent a car at Denver International Airport for the 24 mile or 30 minute drive to my home. For public transportation from the Amtrak train station in downtown Denver to my home, I recommend Uber hands down. The UberX service is the most economical option, Uber Black Car is a premium service and Uber SUV is the deluxe service. For smartphone users Uber is a free app that gives you access to terrific local transportation options. It is less expensive than a local taxi, much more reliable and arrives on time. Try Uber, you'll love it!

In the winter and during ski season, easy access to Interstate 70 West will get you to Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Winter Park/Mary Jane ski areas in 1 hour plus. For Copper Mountain, 90 minutes and for Vail/Beaver Creek, 2 hours. To get to Aspen plan on about 4 hours and Steamboat Springs 3 plus hours.

In addition, I am a proud owner of a very mellow and happy 13 year old male yellow labrador retriever named Tag. He will greet you with abounding joy and happiness but will not be in your way. He does not bark and sleeps on the lower level of my home. My bedroom and bathroom are on the lower level. During your stay you are welcome to use a provided cruiser bike for alternative transportation and short trips to local establishments. I am happy to help with any questions you may have and or guidance about Denver. Please review the house rules. Please have a current photo of yourself along with a valid phone number and email address on your Airbnb profile.

Guest Access

As a guest in my home you will enjoy a very quiet, relaxing and friendly environment. You will have access to the main floor guest room and bathroom, kitchen, living and dining rooms. As well as the front porch and back patio seating areas.

Interaction with Guests

I interact with guests as they see fit. I'm available to answer questions and make suggestions. Feel free to call or text me.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is quiet with residents riding bikes, walking their pets and kids in strollers. You will have a short walk to a variety of great restaurants for coffee/breakfast, lunch and dinner and a short bike ride to off road city bike paths. There is a convenience store and liquor store within a few blocks and a dry cleaner, Walgreens pharmacy, Sprouts, Kroeger and Safeway grocery stores within a short drive. A Whole Foods store is nearby in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Getting around

A public bus stop is located one block from my home. For more information on bus schedules go to (website hidden). Easy access to Interstate 25 and 70, downtown and Denver proper.

  • Always a great stay

  • Tom was an ideal host!!! He warmly welcomed us into his home, allowing us use of the kitchen & making us comfortable on the first floor. We spent relaxing evenings on his front porch. He happily shared his knowledge of his neighborhood and Denver in general. Really, we just plain enjoyed his company:)))
The neighborhood was charming! We walked to several local restaurants, the farmers market and a bakery. The local homes, both old and new, were full of character. Front gardens were aromatic and lovely. Really, it was a great area!
    Our visit was delightful!!!:)))
I recommend visiting the Botanic Gardens to experience the Chihuly exhibit.

  • Tom was great and the house is exactly as advertised. It was a perfectly private experience and was very useful as someone who was busy the majority of my stay.

  • Wow, what a great house. It was like walking into a Home magazine feature article. Tom is a great guy who was a joy to talk with. This was my first air bnb but I can't imagine a better experience.

  • Another great stay at Tom's place. Like being at home! Thanks again.

  • This was the second time I chose Tom Foreman to host in his beautiful Denver home. The house, in the historic Highland area is airy, spacious and beautifully decorated. I had my own little suite - a very private bedroom and bath on the first floor. Tom is a gracious host and his friendly dog Tag will thump his tail every time you enter. Tom made coffee in the mornings and offered to share space in his kitchen, but since I was visiting my children and grandchildren, I didn't take advantage of his offer.
I would not consider staying anywhere other than Tom's home when I'm in Denver.

  • Tom is a terrific host; responsive, helpful, cordial and clearly experienced with travelers' needs. His house elegant, historic and yet completely comfortable. Clean but not fussy. The bedroom / bathroom suite is very private, and was so quiet and peaceful that I overslept the first day!
I can't imagine a nicer place to stay. Thanks, Tom!

  • Tom was a great host. The house was very nice and very well maintained. The neighborhood was great with many restaurants within walking distance. This is the first time I have used great to stay in a home while traveling versus a hotel.

  • I stayed with Tom and Tag for two nights on a work trip in Denver. It was such a pleasure walking into this beautiful, safe, and warmly lit home, especially after arriving later than expected due to a delayed flight. Upon entering, sweet Tag greeted me with his wagging tail, and Tom had laid out a clear paper trail to my private room and bath (located in its own wing of the house). The bedroom is spacious and nicely furnished, and the comfortable bed was made up with good linens. The bathroom, which Tom told me had been recently redone, was gorgeous. I had the chance to meet Tom the following day, and we had a great chat. He's very friendly and knowledgeable about the lovely Highland neighborhood. I was excited to try some of the local eating spots, and he steered me in the right direction--Duo for dinner and The Universal and Wooden Spoon for breakfast, all fantastic--and all within a half a mile from the house! I highly value my privacy and was a bit concerned about booking a Private Room (rather than renting out an Entire Place), and this really was perfect for me. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here next time you find yourself in Denver!

I'm an easy going, professional with a real passion for life! As a responsible, respectful, and gracious homeowner, I'm originally from Minnesota and love to share my home with travelers and guests. While I have lost my upper midwest accent I always welcome guests with warm and genuine hospitality. In the summer months, I stay active by running, biking, camping and hiking. In the winter, I'm active with down hill skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating. I keep life simple yet meaningful by making a difference every day in my work and in the lives of others. I really enjoy big, bold red wines, strong coffee, grilled foods and ice cream! My style of hosting guests is personable, casual, respectful, informative and fun. I'm from a family of 11, yes I have 10 siblings - 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Some of my favorite travel destinations are the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Australia, and the Upper Midwest. I tread lightly on the environment and surroundings, mindful of my carbon footprint.
