About This Listing
Big, clean, comfortable apartment in super hip area of Brooklyn, only 15 min to Manhattan, 10 min to Williamsburg.
Our two-bedroom apartment has a totally private medium-sized guest bedroom available for short-term stays. The room has a brand new, super comfortable full (double) sized bed, along with a dresser and nightstand. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a shared bathroom with bathtub, a large living room with flatscreen television (no cable though but we have computer hookup), a washer/dryer inside the apartment (rare for New York), and wireless internet.
This is a large, comfortable, clean apartment unlike most of the small, crowded, less than clean places you'll see in New York.
The other people living in the apartment are me (Nick) and my boyfriend, so if you're not comfortable sharing an apartment with a gay couple, it's not going to be a match. We are friendly guys and we provide a comfortable place to stay for our renters. We are often out and about and busy, so you might not see much of us.
The apartment is located between the Morgan and Jefferson L train stops, in one of the most hip areas of NYC these days. Great bars, restaurants and supermarkets abound, in a unique neighborhood that's a mix of hipster, Mexican and industrial zone. We're only about a 15-minute trip to Manhattan via subway as well.
The room can accommodate two people at most.

Interaction with Guests
We're always glad to give guests advice on how to best navigate our neighborhood and the city at large. We tend to be busy and out of the apartment most of the time, so you'll have plenty of private space.
Bushwick - you've seen it on HBO's "Girls" - and it's actually not far off from how you might imagine it. It's a young neighborhood, with new bars and restaurants popping up all the time. It's affordable and full of creative types.
The Morgan subway stop (L line) is a short walk from the house.
No smoking, drugs or pets allowed.
The guest is asked to help keep common spaces, especially kitchen and bathroom, clean during their stay.
nick and braulio were great hosts, they received us very well, explained everything we needed to know about transportation, in 40 minutes maximum we were in manhattan.
they let us very comfortable in their home, we felt we had our space, we almost didn't interact.
when we were living to JFK, started raining a lot and our plan of using the subway had to be dismissed. nick saved us by calling a magical cab that costed us only a few bucks more than would cost the public transportation.
we definitely recommend nick and braulio's house!
We had brilliant stay at Nick and Braulio's apartment, they were perfect hosts. We were made to feel totally at home during our 6 night stay and the apartment was very spacious and clean. The local area has some great restaurants, bars and shops, and it is super easy to get into Manhattan on the L train. Also really easy to explore Williamsburg and other areas of Brooklyn. Can't recommend this apartment enough.
My partner and I had a fantastic six-night stay in Nick's apartment. His home was really clean and comfortable, and in spite of it being very cold outside, the apartment was always perfectly warm. Nick was very laid back, welcoming, and helpful. As we were there to enjoy New York, we didn't spend too much time at home, but on the occasions we did see Nick he was very friendly and he even invited us along to a party that he was DJing at in Williamsburg, which was very kind and a great experience. One night he had friends over who were also really nice, but at no point were we disturbed by noise. In fact, the apartment is on a very quiet side street, so there was no noise from outside either.
As the other reviews have stated, the apartment is perfectly situated for getting into Manhattan quickly on the L train and the J & M trains are a little further, but still within walking distance if you need them. Williamsburg is also easily accessible on the L train if you want to explore that area. Bushwick - like any up-and-coming area - is a little rough around the edges, but has some really cool bars, restaurants, and cafes and is worth spending some time exploring if you fancy something edgier than Manhattan. We felt completely safe walking round there both day and late at night and Nick was able to advise where to go.
If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay with a great host and easy access to Manhattan and Brooklyn, stay with Nick!
Felt very good staying there, the place was clean and comfy, Nick very hospitable, 5 min walk to L subway line and 20 min with it to Manhattan. I recommand this place to anyone looking for a stay in NYC!
It was great, I really liked the area (I recommend the cakes and muffins at Swallow Cafe a few blocks over), the L train was a short walk away, the bus stop was at the end of the street and other subway lines were only a slightly longer walk away.
Nick was great, I didn't see him for the first few days as we didn't bump into each other, but he was really nice when we finally met and I'm sure he'd have been happy to help if I'd needed anything (I was in town for a conference and sightseeing so was out most of the time).
I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend it for anyone staying in the area.
