If you are seeking a low maintenance guest, these are probably not them.
We have many pages of information both on the Airbnb Owner Guide (accessible via the app) as well as a 10+ (Hidden by Airbnb) Doc that we share with all guests. We will print it out in the future (based on Deborah's suggestion).
We don't list a TV or cable for the property. We have a TV, but we don't want people calling us and complaining that they can't get it working. This is exactly what happened when I was explaining how to work the remote for 20 minutes at 10:00 pm one night.
As hosts, our general opinion is that if you/one is coming to San Diego, you should get out and see San Diego. If you don't have TV access for any/all of your stay, I can't say I feel exceptionally sorry for you as a guest. This is a beautiful city, and your access to Game of Thrones or FOX News isn't really that vital (...for the record, we have an Amazon Fire Stick with Netflix, Amazon Prime, ESPN, HBO etc.).
As hosts, we try to provide an amazing one of a kind house in the heart of Little Italy. Walk around the neighborhood and you'll see nothing like this home anywhere.
For guests who were coming in for a conference (and presumably would be out all day), I don't think I've ever received calls with that type of frequency before (many times a day).
I hope they can curate a better experience for themselves the next time, as it clearly wasn't a good fit for either party.
