B&B*ilia*_ Apartment near S.Peter

Apartment - Private room · Via Caio Mario, Rome, Lazio 00192, Italy

The Space

B&Bilia it's located in the historical centre of Rome, really close to Vatican's museums and S.Peter's church.
The A metro station “Ottaviano” is only 2 minutes walking.
By this way, it's possible to reach Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Imperial fora in a few minutes.

You can arrive by metro without taking a taxi. From Termini's central station (connected with airports through train and bus) you only have to take the A metro, and go down after six stops, at “Ottaviano-S.Pietro” station.

The apartment, with high ceilings and very bright rooms, is located at the fourth floor of a typical building from 1900's (with elevator), and looks on to a silent street and a characteristic courtyard.
The quarter is quiet and full of services: shops (via Cola di Rienzo, 5 minutes walking, it's one of the principal shopping street) restaurants, pizzerias, and a beautiful cover market from 1900.

The apartment comprises a big living room, a kitchen, two rooms (with external bathroom to share) and my private room.
By request, is it possible to host a fifth person on a folding bed.

The kitchen is for private use only, but it's possible to utilize the fridge and eventually to heat up something.
The bathroom has a comfortable shower of 70x80cm. Every guest has his towels.

The rooms have their linen and covers.
There is no air conditioning, because of the big wall (60cm wide) that provide a good thermal insulation. Anyway, there's a fan in every room.

In addition:
>>> free internet WIFI
>>> telephone for national calls and emergency services

Breakfast included, made up of coffee, Nescafè, tea, milk, jam, honey, cereals, bread and fruit!

I live in the apartment, so I will be there to receive you, giving information about the surrounding areas and the city!

To arrange for the arrival, don't hesitate to contact me.
Have a nice time in Rome!

  • This was our first Airbnb experience and Cecilia was a great host. She was very patient with our late arrival and helpful with printing our tickets to visit the Vatican. The room and apartment are very nice and just like the pictures. This room is next to the bathroom, so there is a bit of noise if there are guests in the other room. The breakfast is lovely and Cecilia provides you with a local map showing tips for places to eat. Definitely recommend to other visitors. Thank you Cecilia!

  • I stayed two nights at Cecilia's, and it was great. Her mother and herself were very helpful (getting bus tickets, checking in rather late - sorry for that again! - etc). The apartment is very nice, the kind of place you would love to live in for more than just a few days! It's very well located, close to the metro station, the Vatican, and the area is nice to hang out, shop, have diner etc.
We had a great time at Cecilia's and definitely advise other travelers to stay there! And the whole family speaks perfect French ;-)

  • Cecilia's apartment is very well-located in Rome:it's only a 20-minute walk to the first stop (Piazza Cavour) of the shuttle coming from Fiumicino airport and it's about a 10- minute walk to the Vatican museums. What more can you expect?Plus it's a 2-minute walk to the Ottaviano metro station and the neighbourhood is safe and lively! The apartment is bright and quite big, with very high ceilings, tastefully decorated and furnished.Although it's an old building, there's an elevator (though you'll have to climb a few steps to reach it!) and it's been completely renovated.
I rented the bedroom looking onto the courtyard so it was very quiet except that the bathroom is right next to the bed (just a little bit noisy when another guest uses it).
Cecilia was always available to give me a lot of good advice concerning places to eat or to visit (she lent me a Cartoville guide wih recommendations),and we had nice talks about Rome during my stay. She's very sweet and went out of her way to solve the hot water issues (luckily her mother lives in the same building and I was able to shower there!).Plus Cecilia speaks English and perfect French, and she booked and printed my return ticket for the shuttle!
Nice breakfast in the morning with tea, coffee, cereals, yoghurts, cookies, bread and jam:Cecilia even offered me my first strawberries of the season!Thank you!

  • We stayed here for two nights and Cecilia was such a great host. We felt very welcome and she helped us in all ways she could. The location is awesome (just a 8 min walk to the Vatican) and the appartment itself is great. It has such a antique cool vibe going on.

Thanks! I wouldn't mind staying here again :)

  • Cecilia was a wonderful host and her apartment is beautiful, just as it is in the photos. A lovely breakfast was laid out every morning for whatever time suits with fruits, yoghurt, cereal, toast, biscuits, tea, coffee… She was extremely helpful and gave me the use of a guide book, in which she'd written recommended places to visit and to eat and they were some of the best meals I have ever tasted! Cecilia even let me borrow an umbrella when it rained and was very flexible about check in/out. The only thing that wasn't quite perfect was the shower, which was sometimes temperamental in temperature. And it would have been nice to have a duvet instead of blankets when it's cold. But all in all, a lovely stay and it made it a very pleasant holiday.

  • We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Cecilias Apartment. Unfortunately she was a little busy so we couldnt get to know each other very well but still she was very carring and always there if we had questions or anything. The breakfast was always already prepared in the evening so that we could have our breakfast when ever we wanted. Even when i wasnt feeling well Cécilia offered me a Tea. The Location of the Apartment is just 2 Minutes from the Subway and in a nice area with a lot of Restaurants and very close to the Vatikan. I can highly recomment a stay in that Apartment and really apreachiate Cecilias hospitality:-)
