A lofty designer project, this 4000sq foot, 6bedroom tropical dream has been the backdrop to films, music videos and art exhibits. For families, groups & boutique retreats seeking style, comfort and tranquility, we invite you into our island paradise

The space

This architecturally sumptuous family home is nestled in the emerald green rice fields minutes from the heart of mystical Ubud. A blend of New York loft style, Javanese antiques and french farmhouse comfort, our home is meant to be enjoyed with friends and family.
Tropical gardens surround the pool and farmers meander by tending to rice and ducks. Tranquil. Beautiful and decadently comfortable. Stay as long as you can and let yourself sink into the magic of our island home.
(Sleeps 16 adults in 12 beds)
Vivian, guest in July, 2016 wrote to me: "We have done a lot of travel in our life and lived in various countries and I can honestly say this is the best place I have ever stayed in in my life!!! You have created a wonderful villa with an absolutely gorgeous aesthetic and I can't wait to tell my friends and come back for a longer trip."

Guest access

Our home is your home. The house is fully staffed and we will help you in any way we can. Please help yourself to anything you find in the kitchen. There are a few children's toys, books and games. We can arrange cars, drivers and motorcycles for you. You will find a local phone to use while you are here.

Interaction with guests

Sometimes we're in Ubud and sometimes we are abroad, but our staff are always at the house. Ibu Made, Ibu Wayan and Ibu Kadek manage the house and Pak Wayan and Pak Kadek are our gardeners, and Pak Made is our security man.

Other things to note

The house is fully staffed with maids who will clean each day, make your beds, prepare meals for a small additional cost, babysit children (extra fee) and help with shopping. Our staff our like members of our family and will do just about anything to help you have the best stay possible.

The four main floor bedrooms all have aircon.

The big bedrooms :
SUNRISE room & KEBUN room each have:
•king size four-poster bed
•soaring ceilings
•ensuite bathroom with stone tub and outdoor rain shower
•French doors to garden

•queen size bed & single bed
•ensuite bathroom with extra big and beautiful rain shower
•it’s a little French farmhouse bedroom, romantic and cozy

HENRY’S room
•2 standard single beds and 1 over-sized single bed

Main Bathroom
•huge stone tub with rain shower

•antique Javanese day bed with over-sized single mattress and mosquito net
•2 single beds with mosquito nets
•epic views of the rice terraces and volcanoes
• can be wiggled around to create a yoga/meditation play space

• queen bed

The loft has two separate rooms which overlook the main living space, but once you are tucked up there you have visual privacy from the rest of the house. It’s actually my favorite place to sleep, the views and breezes are oh-so Bali.

The villa can easily sleep 16 adults in beds. Our price is based on 11 people, each additional person is $25CND/night. Please ask in advance about our baby play pen, or our bassinet.

Our water is filtered before it comes into the house, and although the quality is quite good, we do provide you with unlimited Aqua drinking water.

We had a wonderful week at megan's house. All the indications and contacts were great (taxi and massage !). The house is very pleasant and designed. We felt at home easily. A big thank also to the nice staff (great breakfast !).

The pictures need to be updated on the site. We expected a rice field view, instead it was enclosed. All in all the home was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Ubud is a great location centrally if you want to drive from coast to coast. Also, the driver that was really by Megan was amazing. Shout out to Allo! He helped make the experience great and easy!

Great space for a big family group or close friends. Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to look after us in every way. They put together lovely dinner on two evenings, which was excellent local fare from markets. Be aware that upper floor is totally open plan and has no Aircon, not a huge issue as evenings in Ubud are normally a bit cooler than at the coast.

We were group of 12 ppl and Megan's place was big and spacious. We had a problem in arrival - there was nobody welcoming us and the doors were locked. I called to Megan and nobody was answered. We all were confused and worried. Fortunately one guy of the stuff came after 20 minits so we didn't wait too long. But still I think the welcoming guest is the one of the most important things! The villa itself was very nice - i just love the industrial loft style :) Stuff was very friendly and helpful and prepared a nice breakfast every morning. We also enjoyed the local village surroundings. We also had an electricity black out one night and nobody prepared for us from the stuff so we had to search candles and borrow the matches from neighbors for our self. All in all it was good stay and villa was beautiful. We really enjoyed Bali!

The villa is big and clean. The breakfast was great! My family had a dinner arranged for one of the nights and it was very good. Transport was also well taken care off. We had the use of three cars. A relaxing time for us.

It's a lovely, beautifully designed house. Staff is very friendly and prepared to help you with anything you'll need during the stay. Transfer from the airport and other in-house services were arranged perfectly. One thing to note though is that it has only 4 real bedrooms, the additional beds are open spaces on a veranda in the living room, without walls, doors or A/C. The location is OK, but not very walkable. Prepare to do everything with taxis.

I went with my daughter and her friends, all college students. The house was spacious. We were a group of five and enjoyed all the extra space. We enjoyed the pool in the morning heat. We spent one entire day just relaxing in the pool and lounging around the house before venturing out. The staff is amazing and very nice. They accommodated us when we gave short notice! We decided we wanted breakfast everyday and we asked for dinner a few times. Ms. Made cooked all my daughter's favorites -- home made spring rolls!!! Mic Garang! Chicken Satay. Homemade dessert! We were in culinary heaven. Our driver Mr. Allo equally wonderful. On our last day he spent the afternoon taking us to the Rice Terrace, then to the Luwak Coffee plantation, then drove us to Seminyak! The staff was beautiful and kind. We will miss them. We met Megan's pooch Mathilda and quickly fell in love with her. We looked forward to her visits everyday! One night it rained and I quickly went to take a shower, hoping to take a shower in the pouring rain but the roof protects the shower area, so I heard the pouring rain, but didn't feel it. If I have to find some (URL HIDDEN) the cocky little handsome rooster that lives nearby and sometimes likes to show off in the middle of the night. He does not wait until 5am. I recommend ear plugs. It's a very natural setting. You will see geckos in the house, ants, small bugs. I was never bothered by any mosquitos or any bugs ever. The house is VERY CLEAN, the water super hot. I was with four young ladies so I made sure to shower during off- peak so not to compete for the hot water. Ah! My only con was not being able to plug our iPhones into portable speakers. I should have asked Megan but assumed if I didn't see it then it wasn't there. Again, our stay was wonderful.

Megan User ProfileMegan is a superhost.

I am a Canadian who has been living in Ubud for the past 6 years. I work in holistic wellness and I write screenplays and build outrageous structures in my free time. I read tarot cards, love to cook and entertain and think Ubud is simply the most inspiring place to experience everything. I came here with my 4 year old son seeking community and an opportunity to live life with more passion and play, and I can't imagine anywhere else I would rather be.
