A single room locate a few meters from the beautiful Piazza del Campo, famous worldwide for the Palio. It is a great place to visit by walk the whole town and to be a protagonist "in the front row" during the suggestive and famous all over the world "Palio".
The Palio is twice a year: on July 2 and August 16. During the Palio period, we ask a minimum stay of three nights.
In a historic building, the "guest house" apartment is at the first floor, accessible with a small flight of stairs. The single room is furnished in Tuscan style, with fan and free internet wi-fi. The bathroom is shared (each bathroom is shared by two rooms). The cleaning lady comes every day to clean the bathroom and the common area.
The environment is quiet and extremely comfortable. In the area there are several restaurants and shops.
In the price breakfast in not included but we have an agreement and you can have breakfast in Piazza del Campo at a very special price.
The price does not include the city tax, payable at check-in, of 2.50 € per person per night (till the 31st of october then it becomes 1,50€).
The house is easily accessible by public transport, and it is well connected to the railway and bus station.
You will stay in the heart of Siena!
What all foreigners should know is that if you have rented a car, you cannot enter the city gates as traffic is restricted to those who have a permit to enter. The walk to the nearest parking is a good 15 minutes and you have to carry your case. The shower was hot and cold, the internet didn't work properly, the locks on the doors were about 200 years old. Meaning they were not safe and secure. On the Saturday night there was people outside the hotel making lots of noise, which meant I could not sleep. Then I woke up in the morning to a cold shower and no internet again. Laura obviously does not live in the building, otherwise the noise would have stopped and she would have looked after her clients in the correct manner. It was terrible, I stayed the previous 3 nights in a place for half the price and 10 times the service. Spend some money, get decent locks on the doors, a decent water heating system, and stop the noise outside.. There is nothing wrong with my money as you have found out. I really think I should have a refund. I only stayed because i didn't have the time to look again. I wanted to change my plans before the engagement, but you would not permit that. So really thats too bad.
Laura's place was fantastic - a clean medieval apartment close right in the center of town. Very professionally managed - highly recommend.
Fantastic apartment right in the heart of Siena - could not be more central. Had a great time staying there.
Laura's place is right in the heart of Siena on the first floor of a lovely building. You can take a taxi from the central station to Laura's place for less than 10 euro. There are no elevators so be prepared. I never met Laura, but her very nice friend showed me the apartment and recommend a restaurant to eat at which was really good! The room itself was very nice and the bathroom was nice and large. The lock to the bathroom and bedroom were rather sticky... The kitchen has coffee and tea which you can help yourself to, but there were no spoons to get sugar out or stir your coffee...? My only other qualms are that the room was rather cold and the shower had problems sticking to temperature which was a little uncomfortable. But for the location and the charming space, Laura's place is pretty good value!
The location is excellent, practically on the Piazza del Campo. Laura is very nice and welcoming and speaks excellent English. The accommodations were adequate except that my room had a window across from a restaurant kitchen. The sounds of the restaurant staff and the smells of the kitchen were annoying up until the time when the restaurant stopped serving (9:00 or 10:00 at night). After that time and throughout the night, it was quiet.
It's a very good experience! I especially love the kitchen. Laura is very helpful in everything. I like it!
Such a perfect place to stay, you couldn't be closer to Siena if you lived in it. Nice room with good amenities. Laura was extremely helpful and easy to contact. I would diffinitly stay again.
You couldn't pick a better location - clean, charming rooms - spotless bathroom + huge sitting room. With a little angling of the router box WiFi access was perfect.
Opened my big glass shutter windows each morning and had coffee as I watched the old woman open her florist shop across the street arranging flowers. You couldn't be closer to the Piazza de Campo and the most interesting streets of Siena. Thank yo Laura for a great visit!
The room is a great find as it is literally right next to the Piazza del Campo. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen available to make coffee or tea in morning and free wi-fi. I highly recommend it.
