This sweet little guesthouse is in a great location near the heart of "Mayberry" (Mt Airy). Within walking distance of historic downtown, the Andy Griffith Museum and Wally's Service station, this bungalow is tucked behind the main house for privacy and quiet. For many years, the property was owned by a local sign maker and this separate building was where he created his signs. Some of his creations are displayed on the exterior. The interior has been completely remodeled.

I'm obsessed with: I love strong, dark coffee!
My husband and I have been married 32 years. We have 8 children. 7 are grown and out of the house and we have 8 grandkids. We love spending time with our family! We moved across the country from WA state to beautiful Mt. Airy ("Mayberry"), NC in 2017. We have opened several vacation rentals. One is a separate/lower unit of our personal residence (Wilson Cottage). This home, built in 1924, is so charming and our guests love the homey feel and big wrap-around front porch (firepit included)! Our second location is a sweet little 1 bedroom bungalow behind the main house of a property we purchased across the street in 2020. For many years, the building that is now the bungalow was a sign shop. We completely remodeled the inside while maintaining the "feel" of the sign shop on the exterior. The third unit is currently occupied by a short-term tenant, but will be open for bookings in the spring of 2022! Finally, we are working on remodeling the main house which will also be a vacation rental featuring 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms for guests with larger groups. We are excited to offer so many options to our guests and look forward to your stay!
