This newly-renovated duplex apartment, beautifully furnished in Tuscan style and including an on-site parking space, comfortably accommodates 4 adults in downtown Albany. You will be a 5-minute walk from the MVP Arena and just steps from Café Capriccio, one of the Capital region’s finest Italian restaurants. Guests will be welcomed on their first night with a complimentary authentic Neapolitan pizza, our own Café Capriccio Italian-style Pilsner, and a 10% discount on other menu items.

The space
This two-bedroom, one-bathroom duplex occupies the top two floors of an historic brick building, now painted a bright, cheerful blue. A short staircase leads to your apartment door, which opens into a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living and dining area. Beautiful new windows provide plenty of natural light, and guests will enjoy comfortable, ample seating while visiting, watching TV, listening to music, or just relaxing. Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment, and the unique polished wood restaurant-style dining table with banquette seating can double as a work space. The upper level consists of two large, beautifully furnished bedrooms and a full bath. Our guests love our sheets and towels, which are professionally supplied and laundered.

There is a studio apartment below the duplex which shares the front entrance to the building. The studio apartment is also beautifully furnished in Tuscan style, and consists of a full kitchen, bed and living area, along with a newly refurbished bathroom. Guest parties of more than 4 individuals may wish to consider reserving all of Casa Blu, which will easily accommodate 6 or more persons. Contact Marlene for details.

Also within walking distance are the Empire State Plaza, home of The Egg Center for the Performing Arts, the NY State Museum, the NY State Capitol, Governor's Mansion, City Hall, the new Albany Capital (Convention) Center, the Albany Institute of History and Art, and Lark Street, a hip and trendy neighborhood that offers unique shops, bars, and restaurants. The Palace Theater and Capital Repertory Theater are, respectively, a half mile and one mile from the apartment. Nearby attractions for nature lovers include Washington Park, home to Albany's annual Tulip Festival, and the Albany Pine Bush and Corning Preserves. The Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the Episcopal Cathedral of All Saints are a short walk from your apartment, and other houses of worship are within short driving distance. Your apartment is also convenient to the Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, and Albany Law School. The Albany Bus Terminal and the Amtrak train station are each about a 10-minute drive from your apartment.

My family has owned and operated Café Capriccio, a unique and always exciting restaurant in Albany NY, since 1982. During this time we have also taken more than a thousand holiday travelers to Italy, and especially to Fattoria Lavacchio, our vineyard home in the Chianti region of Tuscany. We are now creating short term rental apartments next to our restaurant in Albany that have the look and feel of our Tuscan experiences. Our guests will be welcomed on their first night with authentic Neapolitan pizza from our wood fired oven accompanied by our own Café Capriccio Italian style Pilsner, brewed right here in Albany. We are also pleased to offer our guests a 10% discount on our menu for the duration of their stay.
