Interaction with Guests
Only as much as you wish….. I believe it is your holiday stay… and sometimes, you just need to be left alone….
My walks in the morning with my boys (Angus and Vinnie) can take me to the beach, stopping in for a coffee or even breakfast, there are so many distractions along the way…. these can all be enjoyed by you too…
Bus at the end of the street, or take a casual stroll into Fremantle. Parking is off street, but convenient. Airport transfers can be organised by a simple phone call.
Other Things to Note
Breakfast can be provided, if I am around, just let me know when you make contact.
Great breakfasts are served at interesting little cafe's just one street over.. whilst walking back from the beach or just to start your day to see how interesting Fremantle and the friendliness of those who live here.
Angus and Vinnie are your friendly pet dogs, but they would prefer not to bring yours and strictly no giving treats or feeding….Angus is on a very strict doctor's diet.
Smoking is permitted but outside only please.
Susan, thanks a lot and a big hug from us :-) !,
Loved our stay with Susan! Excellent plus. Charming, peaceful accommodation, fantastic location, lovely breakfasts, warm, wonderful, funny and inspiring host. Vibrant cafe life and street art in South Fremantle. Only 10 minutes walk into Fremantle or free busses which ran every 10 minutes. Easy access to Perth by train. So glad we used this base for a week to explore the many fine attractions in the area.
This was a fabulous location and Suzanne was the perfect host.
The house is beautiful and has a feeling of peace and tranquility.
Really spacious bedroom and bathroom.
Comfy bed and the ceiling fan helped us keep cool in the extreme heat. Also very quiet so easy to relax.
Suzanne gave us a map and also lots of good tips about Freemantle.
I'd also highly recommend her option of breakfast. It'll beat what you get in any cafe!
I also wanted to adopt the well behaved dogs!
We loved this place and Suzanne's home was a great place to explore from.
Thank you Susan for your warm and generous hospitality. I had the best time in Fremantle and I loved staying in your beautiful home. The location was also fantastic- a short talk to the Blue Cat bus and a bike ride to the beach. Would love to visit again.
Susan was a fantastic as well as very welcoming host. Susan explained to me that I was to treat her house as if it was my own. A very convenient location, and the décor of the house is amazing with so many intriguing pieces. Just look at all the photos displayed on the site. The bedroom was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was healthy and appetizing, and, served at a time that suited my conference days and my touristy day. Linen tablecloth and serviette! I was also excited when after mentioning the night before that I liked salmon, there was some smoked salmon to enjoy with my croissant. Lots of fresh fruit as well.
Susan was such a wonderful host she even taped an overnight sports match, so I could watch it the next night. This was very much appreciated.
Susan is also a very interesting person to talk to and obviously very engrossed in her overseas charity work, and of course the dogs made it feel like a home away from home.
I would fully recommend staying there if you get the chance.
Our stay at Susan's was a relaxing and great experience. We loved the house's unique theme and her boys Anges and Vinny were adorable! Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had convenient amenities. Susan was extremely hospitable and warm (and she is a great chef), and we had a great time chatting with her during our stay. We'll definitely be back if we return to Fremantle, thanks for the wonderful stay Susan!
Susan's home is a slice of Bali in the midst of Fremantle. While the listing is not an entire home you feel like you could use the living room or patio for reading and enjoying. She kept ambient music playing throughout the home while we were there and it felt like a B&B. Bonus in that you know you are supporting her work with the school she started in Kenya while you are there.
We had a rental car but hardly used it while there, we could walk into town in 10 minutes. A friend was staying closer to town and we were still happier at Susan's, even with the walk. Definitely worth the visit.
