Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Apartment was clean and conveniently located. Though small, it was a comfortable stay and shower pressure was good. Alexis was very fast, clear and prompt with his replies whenever we had queries. Hence, the communication was a breeze which was much appreciated. Wifi was stable too, would recommend as an easy base to explore HK Island... easy walk to MTR and the central piers. Thanks much!

P.S the midlevels escalator is downriding from 6-10am. So do avoid checking in before that unless you wanna lug your luggages up the stairs. We didnt have a choice as we had a red-eye flight and Alexis was kind enough to accommodate us much earlier! :)

  • Alexis greeted us at the apartment. The apartment is small, but fits my parents and myself on the sofa which doubles as a bed fine. This is HK and we expect it to be tight. The sofa is uncomfortable as a bed due to square stitches.

It is conveniently located right on the mid level escalator route with restaurants within walking distance. We did not cook and eat out mostly. If you plan to cook, there is a small kitchen, but no cooking essentials such as oil, salt and pepper, etc., was provided.

There is an espressos machine, but no coffee or espresso capsule was provided which would have been nice to have. The only thing we found are some sugar packages.

There is no phone in the apartment. And I had my cell phone on airplane mode. Alexis said that if we need help, just email him. I sent him emails about no way to charge my iPhone/iPad since the HK outlet is different from US. I got no reply at all. I am very disappointed about this. He could have told me to buy one somewhere. I could not take pictures after running out of charge.

    Response from Alexis:

Thanks Yen for the stay. Sorry about the charger, but I did not received any messages from you. As you can see you from profile, I have 100% response rate, and my past reviews always mentioned my quick response to every need. So I really don't know what happened there, but I do apologize. The adapters we provided were all taken away by previous guests. Coffee: Sorry that the Coffee were not refilled. We have also just ordered a new Sofa bed and should be coming in a few weeks time.

  • The location was fantastic - 10 minutes from Central MTR Station and Sheung Wan MTR Statio, next to Wellington Street with lots of good local food - Wanton Mee, Dim Sum, Herbal Tea. Had great time there, this apartment is highly recommended.

    Response from Alexis:

HI SuQing - thanks for the stay at the apartment. I am glad you've enjoyed the place and Hong Kong.

  • Alexis was an excellent host and we loved staying in this apartment! It was conveniently located and outfitted with all the amenities that we needed for our stay. There were plenty of eateries within a 1 to 2 minute walk so, it was not hard to keep ourselves fed. Staying 4 days with the girls, we needed to do laundry once. I hesitated doing it thinking the clothes would not dry in the wet climate, only to find the washer was a combination washer/dryer. Nice! I asked my daughter what her favorite part of Hong Kong was.
“The shower in our apartment!”, she replied.
That even beat out Disney. Funny!
Alexis was clear in his directions and was able to answer all of the questions I had for him upon arrival. From where the closest money changer was to the best way to get to the Bank of America building, he was knowledgeable and helpful. I had a wonderful first experience using airbnb and a wonderful apartment to stay in. I would definitely stay here again, if the need arises.

    great hosting you!
Look forward to see you soon in HK!

  • Alexis' apartment was perfect for the couple of days we spent in Hong Kong. Great location, close to everything Soho has to offer, and just high enough to get some peace and quiet in the evenings. The apartment was small (as you'd expect in Hong Kong) but well planned, making it very comfortable for my partner, myself and our baby daughter. Alexis was quick to respond to all our questions and easy to contact.

  • Right in the heart of the action in Soho, the apartment could not be better located to food, nightlife and shopping but a the same time being on the 11th floor, super quite at night. Apartment was just as described, clean and and well appointed.

Alexis is responsive and check in and check out was super easy - recommended!

  • Great flat in Hong Kong, super easy to get to from the airport. Check in was straightforward and we could even leave our luggage on the last day. Everything is clean and the bed great.
    We would stay there again.

  • This flat is exactly what we were expecting based on the description and reviews and it's location is AMAZING. It is literally 5 steps off the Mid-levels escalator, surrounded by wonderful bars, restaurants, and cafes, and so easy to get anywhere in the city (and so fun) thanks to the Escalator. Also extremely close to the airport express train for easy travel in and out of the city.

I used to live in Hong Kong and hand-picked this location for a return visit there, so know that it is a great location.

The flat itself was perfect--so nice to have a queen bed considering so many other airbnb options in the area only had full size beds. The kitchen was hong-kong-size but totally functional for making a simple meal or heating up leftovers...and the espresso machine was awesome, too! Really nice bathroom, super hot water, and a space heater was provided since we were there during the chilly months.

Nice TV, a few cable channels--I either was confused on how to use the cable or there are only a handful of news and movie channels available, which is totally fine but was a bit confusing at first.

Finally, because the flat is on the 11th floor and there's only one flat per floor, there was no noise issues with neighbors.

Overall an excellent flat in a superb location for a great price--any hotel at this location would be twice as much per night! Stay here and enjoy Hong Kong.

  • This is a great, clean place with lots of natural light in a super convenient location. The house entrance, the elevator and the space in front of the apartment are all a bit depressing but the apartment clearly makes up for all. Although smallish, it is nicely furnished, provides cable TV with international channels and has good internet access. There are endless restaurant- and bar options in the area, breakfast can be had in one of the many cafe's nearby (check out Artisan bakery Eric Kayser if you like croissants and pastries). We haven't met Alexis but Rose provided us with a few instructions. Check in was easy, so was the booking. Loved it!
