About this listing
This ocean front condo has the feeling of being on the beach. It opens out to a lawn and the ocean about 20 feet away. You can see the yellow fish in the breaking waves and surfers when the seas are the right size for them. Spinner Dolphins and Humpback whales can be seen often. You also look out on to the pool. There is good privacy in front of the condo as the gates to the pool and lawn are locked at night.
The condo is located along Alii Drive S. of Kailua-Kona with Pahoehoe Beach Park on one side and Magic Sands Beach on the other. There is a restaurant in the building. A nice shopping center, keauhou, is about 1 1//2 mile to the south of the building. At the Keauhou Shopping Center there are several restaurants, shops, a drug store and a market. The snorkel beach Kahalu'u is about 1/2 mile to the south,
There is an open air bus that comes by about once an hour and stops in front of the building. It is free and travels between the Keauhou Shopping Center and Kailua-Kona village.
We say, don't rush around too much, relax, have a pineapple, drink 100% Kona Coffee, swim in the ocean.
There is a bus that connects Kailua-Kona Village to Keauhou Shopping Center. It comes by each direction once an hour.

This place was perfect. Great location, beach next door one of few sandy beaches. nice and quiet.
The described listing was perfect. The view was better than described and the hosts were more than welcoming.
While we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Bob and Alice in person, they were attentive and accommodating well beyond our expectations. They were very clear that they were available on short notice if we needed anything. Their place was fabulous and the perfect size for what we wanted. We loved the proximity to the beach and the quiet, low-key environment. Having extra towels and soaps and things to fill in for anything we forgot was great. We've only spent one night away, but already miss the sound of the surf. We hope we were as pleasant to have as guests as Bob and Alice were to have as our hosts.
we enjoyed listening to the waves all day. there was a surf advisory, so we did not snorkel at all, though there were a lot of "brave" (?) souls who did.
The condo was ready for us when we arrived. Everything was clean & tidy. No surprises, it looked just like the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay. The view & the sounds of the surf was fabulous. The neighbors were very nice. Even with only a week stay, we struck a friendship with one of the neighbors. The location was convienent to snorkling and downtown. We hope to comeback soon.
We had a wonderful stay at the condo. The listing was just as great as was described to us. Our host was great and the whole experience was so pleasant.
We had a great stay at Bob and Alice's place. I really enjoyed listening to the waves right outside the window. (Not something get to hear much as a lifelong Minnesotan.) It was nice to have plenty of bath towels, beach towels, and beach chairs. The listing was accurate and email response was excellent and timely. Our arrival was easy and it was very helpful to have a free parking spot right outside our door. Unfortunately the weather was rainy so we did not use the pool but it was a nice amenity to have. The condo was clean and my husband appreciated all of the fans.

About the Host, Bob And Alice
We are Bob and Alice. We have been wintering on the Island of Hawaii for many years and now retired, we decided to buy a house and move here full time. We made the move two years ago and are enjoying life on the island. We are located near beaches and snorkeling places. We are near to Kailua-Kona also. There are good restaurants near by, Annies is one of our favorites. We also really like Jackie Reyes, also quite near. If anyone likes parasailing, the local launcing spot is just above us so we watch them gliding by nearly every day. We have a good view of the ocean and along the coast looking south. We see the City of Refuge, Honaunau National Park and part of Kealakakua Bay. We'd be happy to help you to know what is going on around the island and where to find what. We look forward to meeting you. Aloha
